Taissa has surprised me a bit too in person. I didnt expect her to be that built.Toomey has definitely put in some work in the off-season. I'm not sure I expected to see her look this strong and efficient playing the post.

I know. I said same thing when I saw her.Taissa has surprised me a bit too in person. I didnt expect her to be that built.
Agree. She has been solid against the two inferior opponents and per the South Carolina official site box score she was also solid (9 pts, 8 rebs, 1 blk) in that exhibition game.Toomey has definitely put in some work in the off-season. Definitely lots to work on, but also lots to work with.We have a few things we need to fix before Ucla.
Shoot better from 3.
Value the ball and take less risks with it after rebounds.
Show Nyla Brooks some film of her FT shooting form from HS.
Move our feet better on defense.
I like our talent but we can execute lots better IMO.
And that's only because we made 3 of the last 5 we attempted. That 1-21 start was BRUTAL.won by 35 despite shooting 4-26 from 3....
I don't think I'd want to take a charge from her - I'd just step aside - lol! On another note, I've been pleased that she has had family here for the last two home games!I know. I said same thing when I saw her.
Love seeing her mom videoing and their reactions!I don't think I'd want to take a charge from her - I'd just step aside - lol! On another note, I've been pleased that she has had family here for the last two home games!
harris wasn't in the game for the first half and toomey, though improved, isn't strong or experienced enough to be the only available post player who's going to score through possible double teams on every possession. CB had at least as much criticism for the post play as the guards: “I don’t think our posts played as well as they needed to. They were kind of in la-la land at times.”I am glad for Toomey. I see why CB was fiery in the first half. They were playing like crap. The players need to understand that if you are 1 from 11 from the 3-point line, common sense would tell you to go inside to Harris and Toomey. The percentages to make the shot will be higher if you are closer to the basketball. I am sure CB and Staff told them that, but they refused to listen. That problem can be easily fix by taking those players out and sitting their butts on the bench. Dean and Roy did this, and it does work.
