I thought maybe Minnesota would take him but given their first round QB investment last year, they went OL.
I would think he doesn't last to long in the second round.

I love it! He committed an unforgivable sin down in Orlando. In my humble opinion it cost us a bowl victory.
If it's not a CFP game then it's meaningless.

Was score not kept? Did the W or L go on the final record? Did the W or L go on the head coaches record? Did stats count? Were there bets placed on the game? Did the game impact the final rankings?

All your points are valid but are you going to tell me that you were pumped about playing Illinois instead of the CFP? If these garbage bowls mattered then why are these kids opting out of them? The CFP has tarnished all other bowls.

Yes. I was pumped about my alma mater playing a quality Big 10 team in the highest rated non-playoff bowl, & as far as I'm concerned, everyone should have been, as we don't have the most stellar football history. Kids are quitting & not playing in them because of the horrible turn society has taken that now emphasizes Me over We. Sterling Sharpe was better than any of the quitters that didn't play in either the Citrus or Gator Bowls recently, & he played his final contest in the "meaningless" Gator Bowl in 1987. There was no championship to be won, but he played in it anyway because he knew it was the right thing to do. We before Me. It's the TEAM concept.
Right now Rocket Sanders is projected as a 7th round pick which means he very well might not be drafted.
While we focus on Emmanwori, who I think will be a Rnd 2 pick, not much mention of Sanders and how he opted out and may not even get drafted, I wonder who he got his advice from?

I'm thankful for his contributions he made that helped us win, but I lose all respect for quitters.
Maybe a not-so-subtle difference... Emmanwori played the first half and sat out the 2nd. And it seems he surprised the coaches with his decision rather than asking beforehand if it was OK (like Ward did with Miami). Seems different from what Sanders did.
Was I disappointed? Hell yes! Did he cost us the game? At least as much as the bush league tactics by Illinois' coach.
I still wish him the best - and everyone who gave up eligibility to go pro.
10-3 vs. 9-4 is meaningless? Headed into the offseason with a 7 game winning streak vs. a loss is meaningless? All of the players that gave 100%, not 50%, is meaningless? All of the families and fans that spent a lot of money and lot of time is meaningless? Quitting at halftime is meanigless? Where the hell do you get that? Not a fan of quitters, sorry he ruined the great vibes that were there until that game.
