Emotional Detachment

After sitting in the stadium last couple of years for the Illinois "ice the kicker," the blowout loss to Oregon, and the Penn State scoop and score, I had enough. Decided after 45 years of way more agitation than joy, I was done caring. So glad I did or tonight would've ruined my weekend!

Hang in there those that didn't emotionally check out yet.

Moved to Florida 4.5 years ago. I thought a 1,000 mile gap from sitting in that stadium would make these hurt less. It doesn’t really.

I've been emotionally checked out for years. NIL, Transfer Portal killed it. If I wanted to watch semi-pro football, I'd watch the CFL.

I truly couldn't care less.

Local high school football looking pretty good these days. Ticket plus a hot dog under $10. Don’t have to worry about a field house anymore.
