Teacher...didn't get anything from the principal or school district(besides 2 weeks off). Got a ton of homemade candy from the students. Evidently they couldn't spring for anything more, cheap asses. They probably just hate me.

You get half thr year off (paid), $10 health insurance and retirement at nearly your entire salary after less than 30 years of service. And you want taxpayers to coddle you more. Unbelievable.

Card and some candy from my manager. My team did a secret Santa exchange but I was going out of town anyway and skipped it.

My previous place gave $75 BHG gift cards.

My wife got a $100 Amex gift card from her company. probably a profit sharing bonus into her 401K too

Nothing. I work in non-profit. No ****, but my supervisor guilt tripped staff into buying the CEO a present.

That's so corporate, even the nonprofit world kisses the asses that don't need kissing.

We were also begged to chip in on a CEO gift.

I told my direct supervisor (who hates the CEO) that a) that guy makes 10 times what I do b) when he gives us raises and bonuses like he gets every year, I'll throw a $10 spot his way. Until then, he can buy his own GD gift card.

I was given the same thing I get every year - A PAID DAY OFF!!! (whoptey effin do)

I didn't get any extra food stamps this year, so I chipped my tooth with a screwdriver so I could get some painkillers with my medical card to sell to the locals. Did pretty good this year. Might be able to afford Marlboro instead of Pall Mall for a few weeks.
No menthols? Weak Sauce.

So true. My former company is full of worthless executives/officers making ridiculous amounts of money. They lay a bunch of us off and give themselves bigger bonuses.

I get laid off along with others and a few folks who kept their jobs asked us to chip in to get a present to our boss. I along with others told them to go F themselves.

I'm sorry man. That's really ****** management. I'm a firm believer that leaders eat last. Folks should always take care of the employees first

Seriously. That took a lot of nerve, audacity or whatever for the ones who kept their jobs to say that. You showed a load of restraint with the 'eff themselves' bit. Got rid of hard workers and kept the ********. Makes sense.

They took us out for lunch one day and we had like a buffet type setup and everyone got 2 drink tickets. We ate and played a trivia game between all the tables and got to go home around 3. I get paid well and I work for a huge corporation so no complaints, in fact I am quite surprised that they let us drink at company events.
