Emptiness

[RUMMENIGGE]

At this point of the game, I believe clemson was winning 29 to 24 facing a third and long before "Tim Tebow" scored this touchdown. I am in dismay on how empty the stadium is with the game still in doubt on that play.

Looks pretty bad.

I didn't watch hardly any of it - but to be fair to the FSU fans...... I think it was 29-10 at one point and that's when I think most FSU fans checked out and left. I think that's close to the last score I saw.....but then a little while later I flipped it back to see 29-24 and just in time to see that QB run by the Clemmers.

There are very few true "fans" these days, just people who want to live vicariously through others and associate with "winners". Teams are seldom supported through thick and thin - look at all the "fans" chanting "Fire Beamer" at the UK game who then stormed the field and wanted to embrace the team after the UT win. It's the same phenomenon with USC women's basketball - 99% of the folks in the CLA didn't know USC had a women's BB team until they were successful... and they'll forget about them again once the current run is over. Everyone wants their team to win but few support them when they don't/aren't. I wonder if they treat their own kids like that when they compete?

It's called a bandwagon and that's where most of today's fans live.

It was far from a full house at kickoff.

People ask how FSU can afford to fire Norvell (they can't), but the attendance issues show how they can't really afford to keep him next year either.
