Well it looks like my favorite Wildcat has been cut because of his speaking out against modern day slavery and genocide. Apparently American corporations care more about appeasing communist China then standing up for American values. I for one am proud as heck for the stand Enes took. We love you Mr Freedom!!!

Only because his minutes were cut...year before he averages 11 points and 11 rebounds.
There is definitely some behind the scenes BS here in play to silence him as he did not toe the company genocide line.
Read this article to get a little info on why Enes's playing time had decreased and he was ultimately cut. He crossed the NBA but unlike Kaepernick he won't be made a martyr.

He probably isn't what he once was but he averaged 11 pts and 11 rebounds last season. He also averaged 24 mpg last year and only 11 this year. Is he averaging less mpg because he suddenly became a bad player, because Boston traded for a guy they didn't need or because after his protest of China during a game that China banned any Boston games from being broadcast in China? None of us will ever know the true answer to that.
I admire Mr Freedom standing against these big Corp. and NBA that make tons of money off of slave labor in communist China. Many in this country take what freedoms we still have for granted.

Celtics got rid of him for luxury tax reasons. Houston cut him because he's too old for their plans, doesn't make any sense with how the Rockets play, and they already have two players at his position that are better.
He also had a better QB rating than Roger Staubach, Jim Kelly, Eli Manning, Dan Marino, Johnny Unitas and John Elway but nobody would say he was a better QB than any of those guys.
He was on a team now that places defense as the highest priority. Celtics are the best defensive team in the league. They have the best net rating in the league this calendar year, and that's with barely playing Kanter if any at all.
Kanter doesn't play any defense. You're not getting PT on an Ime Udoka team if you can't play defense., which Kanter has never done.
Denis Schroeder was the only guy on the Celtics that regularly played who isn't generally considered a plus defender and they got rid of him too. If you play defense, you'll get minutes in Boston as long as you aren't a complete liability on offense.

The League average age is 26, Houston's average age is 25 and Enes is 29.
You are right that he has never been a good defender so why would Boston sign him again knowing he isn't. It's not like he just quit playing defense and they were shocked by it.
Houston is a bad team building for the future. A 29-year-old who is at best your third best center makes zero sense to keep.
Celtics needed cheap depth at center. All they had was an injury prone center in Robert Williams, Al Horford who hadn't played in foreer since OKC shut him down early last season, a smaller Grant Williams coming off a disappointing season, and a largely useless Bruno Fernando. With Williams taking a leap and staying healthy, Al Horford still playing well, Grant Williams taking a leap, and being able to get Theis, Kanter was beyond useless in Boston.

Normally this would sound reasonable. However when John Cena inadvertently acknowledged the existence of Taiwan and the studio forced him to apologize to China, in Chinese no less, it's necessary to realize that China has heavy control over Hollywood and our Sports. In this case it's clear that this is happening.

One of the parts that stuck out to me was NBC wouldn’t air his commercial because it had brand names and logos in it. NBC was “brave” enough to attack their own President when it was popular but won’t attack big companies. Cowards.

From his confidence in losing his contracts it does seem like he was wise with his money which is not something a lot of athletes can say.

Agree. Freedom could lead the league in rebounds if he got decent minutes. He was purposely not being played and made to look like he no longer had enough game to play in the NBA.

This is really what it comes down to. I love Enes like I love all former Cats, but the bottom line was his offensive production was slipping and he was one of, if not the, worst defensive center in the league. The numbers don’t lie.
