Not a slam against Sharpe, but Enes in the same position plays. So would Oscar, and others.

He'd be a regular starting center or strong backup in the NBA if he ever attempted to play defense.
There are 70 centers averaging at least two shots per game within the restricted area, Kanter ranks 66th in field goal percentage in the restricted area. THe only ones worse are Micah Porter, Tristan Thompson, Zach Collins, and Cheick Diallo.
He doesn't even have high efficiency scoring to bring to the table this year.
If you are a center that can't play defense and can't finish at the rim, it's pretty difficult to get on the court. You can't be a liability at both ends of the floor.

Same thing happened with masks and vaccines as well. Years of shut up athlete until an athlete didn't want to be vaxxed, suddenly it was okay to have a voice.
FWIW, I agree with Enes and hope he continues to speak out. The hypocrisy on this site is hilarious though. I mean, some of you literally had the opposite opinion the last few years for nearly every other athlete who spoke out about something they felt was more important than basketball or football. Consistency is important folks.

You know what's more important? Supporting those who speak out alone without support of their employer, corporations, media, or government about principles of morality involving real slavery.
If Enes claimed the American flag and the national anthem should be protested so that we can bring justice to a group of people being persecuted in China, I would oppose his position.
