You do realize how almost impossible it is to not buy stuff made in China. Regardless, I don’t care if it Enes or someone else. The kowtowing to China has to end. If we have to sacrifice the NBA to get a message across? I’m ok with that.
It's not hard at all if you actually put effort into researching things that aren't made in China or from Chinese components. It is going to cost more, obviously, but it can be done.

However, keep in mind, the NBA is also a luxury the Chinese people benefit from. By impacting the NBA in China, you're impacting are a form of entertainment that many of the people you're wanting to help enjoy.

Regardless, it’s sick seeing so many people make excuses for the NBA over political lines.

Facts - Lebron is a lying pos. I don’t care that he promotes your side, he is 100% a lying pos.

Facts - The NBA helps encourage and promote REAL modern day slavery and uses the faux grievance of American political tactics to shield themselves from it. Just like Big Pharm, Big Tech, and the corrupt parts of our government agencies.

Facts - if the NBA suddenly supported “blue lives matter”, vowed to support right wing legislation, and didn’t promote leftist identity politics, the entire body of D’s would be scorching those executives alive using Chinese atrocity rhetoric first. They’d damn near want the entire league shut down. And we all know it.

I really hate these political parties but this is the truth on this issue. And I’m not going to debate any of it because it’s so blatantly obvious that if you DO debate it, you’re a political party hack and I’m not helping you spin off by debate. The problem here is Democrats are supposed to be the party of the little guy, the party of core western liberal values, the party that speaks for communities that are voiceless and don’t have the resources to make a push. Well they are showing on this issue that the only way they’ll do that is if it’s now politically expedient. And it’s why blue collars are leaving them.

Democrats are the party of big business, war, and power now. So spare the American social justice nonsense that’s intended to do nothing more than shield yourself from what you really are. An old school big biz republican that feels awful about themselves. The whole political script is changing.
If you think the NBA encourages modern day slavery, boy wait until you hear what the 13th amendment to the US Constitution allows - unpaid forced labor by inmates!

Im not a fan of Capital punishment and many forms of criminal punishment all together. I think freely, but that’s not the issue here. Funny how we create words like whataboutism but only utilize it when it’s beneficial.

The NBA utilizes faux grievances pushed by political opportunists (those opportunists do it as a means to consolidate voter blocs and create civil rights issues where there aren’t any in order to cultivate paranoia within minority communities to maintain power) and in return the NBA gets a shield to make money in countries that allow modern day genocide and slavery.

Anyone that stands with them in this regard because of the shield they use (that helps their favorite party maintain power) is a scumbag lying sac. The D’s specifically are supposed to make this a central issue for confrontation, but today they’re using it for self gains.

Anyone okay with this needs to duck their heads and hope their evil isn’t on display one day soon.

So speaking your mind on what’s right is “baggage” now. Lmao what a time to be alive.

He's not good enough to be so outspoken, even though what he says is true.. And nobody else cares except for a few UK fans.

LeBum and the NBA can't afford those Chinese pay cuts.

Seems most billionaires in the states are tied into China. They'd rather pay 1/4 production cost and have everything made over there. This will come back to bite us in the *** one day.

Well, we had a guy in office that wanted to bring all industry back here. Instead, we have this clown in there that we have now. Absolute moron. His administration has done everything in its power to weaken the country. Makes me sick.

Hate to get so political, but yeah, seems the democratic party strives to destroy the economy, divides and then makes the American people more reliant on all of these hand-outs.

And while I'm ranting a bit. Super glad fast food/McDonald's employees make around 18/hr now. Now they can take an extra hundred bucks to the grocery store, and bring less food back home. Inflation is still soaring.

He may be frozen out but he sucks now and would only be an end of the bench player at best

I don't understand how that you can say that he sucks now. Season before last, before the NBA froze him out. Enes had a 23 point 30 rebound game. That wasn't that long ago. I believe that Enes can very much play the game at a very high NBA level. Can't say nothing bad about China, they might cut a certain crackhead's money off, the big guy has to get his 10%.

Stock market/401Ks are in the can. Open border, soaring gas prices. Indoctrination/mutilation of young children. Implementing their woke equity, inclusion back into our military. Kicking military people out over a quota and/or a vaccine mandate. These people are full blown idiots.

was taught not to argue with ignorance. Nor would it change anyone's mind

Let's see here.

New account? Check.

A couple fly-by posts about politics, but won't get into specifics? Check.

Bait and switch. "Your take on politics is hilarious, but I won't address any of it."

Yeah. You're probably on your 10th account in the last year or two.

Enes ranked 104 out of 112 for NBA centers last year in FG% from within five feet at 53.3%
https://www.nba.com/stats/players/shooting?PlayerPosition=C&dir=D&sort=Less+Than+5+ft.+FG+PCT

The only players worse? Listed below. What does all but one have in common? They are not on an NBA roster this year. The one, Marko Simonovic, is in the second year of his rookie contract after only playing 9 games last year. Chances are he will not be long for the NBA.
  • Killian Tillie
  • Marko Simonovic
  • Willie Cauley-Stein
  • Cheick Diallo
  • Freddie Gillespie
  • Jaime Echenique
  • Javin DeLaurier
  • Jon Teske
Baggage or not, he is not good enough to play in the NBA anymore.

If he was listed as a forward, he would be 263 out of 314 for field goal percentage within 5 feet

If he was listed as a guard, he would rank 216 out of 322

Very high level? You trying to say Enes can be an All-Star? 😭

Guy is WASHED. One fo the two things he did well, score in the paint, he completely struggled to do all last season before the Celtics decided to get rid of him and replace him with another big that fit the team better in Daniel Theis. Man was literally one of the worst centers in the league in scoring efficiency in the paint last year and would have even ranked in the 200s if he was listed as a guard or forward.

His FG% from within three feet last year was 10% below his previous worst season - 63.4% to 53.7% - and 12% his career average - 65.7%

If an NBA player isn't going to play defense, which Enes has never done, then they for damn sure better be putting the ball in the basket or there is no place for them in the league.

Crazy how fast that guy deteriorated. In 2010-11, he was on our roster. That puts him around 30, and I don't recall any bad injuries.

It's not about politics, it's bashing YOUR employer!! Enes is badmouthing the mouth that feeds him. He goes around bashing other players and the league. Why would the league give him a job? If anyone on this board bashed their job everyday on TV, you'd be blackballed too.

You can't compare him to Kerr or Popovich, or even LeBron. The NBA will let you speak about politics, but they will not going to sacrifice business interests by your constant bashing of them.
You mean, the NBA will let you speak about one side of politics. About like everyone else. He’s in the right, whether the woke NBA likes it or not.

They can’t. They can just simply laugh at your takes and possibly call you a racist or say you’re a threat to democracy. It’s all they have.
Chuckle$&@!s. That’s the word for them. Rather than try to have a semi intelligent conversation like an adult they just “hur hur I’m smarter”.

He is a below the basket inside the paint center that might be on the the worst defenders in the league and is also statistcally one of the worst finishers in the league. That is why he is not on a roster.

Why would I answer a statement? 🤔

You obviously have no interest in having an adult conversation. You deflect. You shuck and you jive. But I guess you did answer it albeit indirectly; because only an experienced politician could be this dodgy. If you want to play stupid semantics, then the word I technically should’ve used is ‘respond’.

So again, if your any kind of person of substance. Respond to Grom’s statement or just sit down.

Okay. Not sure what I dodged, shucked or jived, but if rambling about it makes you feel better, I am in full support!

Why would I respond to a statement? I think the word you're looking for is question!

And now misdirection. It’s painfully obvious what you are. Sorry. You will not get my goat so I may cross this rickety bridge.

What am I misdirecting you on?

Why would I want your goat?

If I told Grom I hope her bet wasn't large as far as me having no political experience, wouldn't that logically indicate I do have political experience? Did you really need that spelled out? 🤔

Sorry your guy couldn't get it done to beat the other guy. Better luck next time?

Anyway, Enes has obviously made some solid points over the years, but the NBA is ever-evolving and to have a job in the league, you've got to evolve as well or have a specific skill set that a franchise deems useful and worthy of a contract. He's just not worth it at this point. If he wants, he can sue the NBA if he feels he's being blackballed. I get it though. On this board which does skew right, a guy like Kaep is a villain while Enes is a victim. It's either/or when it doesn't need to be.

And yes, Enes speaking out does hurt him some, just like it hurt Kaep. Like it or not, the NBA, Hollywood, and countless industries we all support in some way have relationships with China. One man with four years didn't change that just like the next guy with four years ain't changing it. It's disappointing, but the US and China are tied together. (There are literally MAGA hats with Made in China tags inside them btw).

Kaep is a moron, though. He had an opportunity to work out in front of 32 franchises, and didn't follow through because he had a list of his own demands, such as his own film crew, and God knows what else. He makes it easy to be a villain. The dude is a clown.
