Coach K is like most old coaches that are successful, they will lie, lie, lie, and throw the players under the bus unless they get caught like he did. He's a prick.

it was low class, baseless, disparaging remark to a kid that just beat him. of course, the jackass was going to lie when called out on it

Coach k is all about coach k. Complains about a guy chucking up a 3 which is part of the game. His own Grayson Allen trips 4 guys on pupose this year and not a word. Seems about right in his world.

Duke needs to learn how to lose with some dignity and realize you can't win every game. I lost a lot of respect for Coach K, he shouldn't be saying a damn word to another teams player. What a sore freaking lose

They should learn, like WVU knows, that losing isn't a big deal. ...nothing that can't be fixed.

Best part of this is I didnt have a problen with what the kid did. Clock was running out and he threw it at the rim to avoid a stoppage and it went in.

when you've got a player, a good player I admit, known for tripping guys and lacking class to zero discipline, it's hard to empathize when that same team loses handily & sees a meaningless 3 go in with seconds left to go. Get over it.

If a player deserved discipline or reprimand, it wasn't Oregon's. Couple that with lies as to the story, I cannot relate or find justice. Accept you got whooped away from home & find no PR excuses.

A lot of bitter folks in this thread. Coach K is the best in the business and has been for a long time. He also runs a clean program and is one of the friendlier guys you'll ever meet.

coach k was a rude ***. and he deserves criticism, like anyone else for such despicable behavior. take your admiration to the duke board

The only things opposing coaches need to say to other teams players is "Nice game." or something like that, or nothing at all. The lying about it was low class.

If I was the kid, I would have responded with "coach, maybe you should be more worried about the 3's your team didn't make. Guess your guys won't be having any party tonight with strippers, huh?"

It's kind of like parenting... ...there was a day it was considered a duty of the village and has turned into an insult if someone corrects a child for being an *** (and no...I'm not implying this particular player did anything wrong).

I'll stop there...either you get my point or you don't ....

he's been successful at keeping the clean image clean. little by little the image changes. Nonetheless the Duke fan base likely doesn't care as long as the team wins. Lose in the first round after a very bright season the they'd begin to turn on him.

this wasn't about coaching the other team. it was all about being bitter and trying to ruin this kid's one shining moment with a snarky, nasty remark
