Why would I become a head coach and put up with dicks like me who question every single move? When you become a head coach you can to things your way
Not at all sure regretting not having Eno but the policy is spelled out to them before they commit big difference happened before will happen again. Do you think Iowa is the only one with this policy?SW, you are cool here, and you seen to be a voice of reason on the hawkeye board.
I do read it, do not post.
Think it was a knee jerk reaction by the Iowa coaching staff, that they may regret. Seems the standards thay have set do not play well in current recruiting.
I don't have an issue with it if they tell the kids up front don't commit unless you are done with visits and have made your choice. Otherwise, we will continue to pursue other prospects. Why should Ferentz allow a kid to commit who apparently just wants to save his place on the team in case he doesn't find something better and then continues looking around? Different approaches for different coaches, but if the communication is clear up front, then the kid can make his decision. If he wants to take other visits (for fun or otherwise), don't commit. You may or may not have a place left when you get around to deciding, but that's your choice to make.
yet ferentz interviews with nfl teams about a job and cant still come back to his iowa job. ferentz do what i say not what i doI don't have an issue with it if they tell the kids up front don't commit unless you are done with visits and have made your choice. Would we rather have Eno Benjamin or Alaric Williams? I know Eno is ranked higher... Can we take both if they wanted to come here?
Seems like they may have learned their lesson.Alaric ship has sailed...Auburn now telling him he can play RB

Is that based off the Nate Clouse interview on USC or do you have some more info? Honestly I don't get why we haven't offered, we don't really have many good options right now. Sounds like Williams is solid to Auburn, Hill is solid to MSU, Carr is solid to USC. Greg Johnson is being recruited as a DB. Who else are we in on? Peacock?Yes.

No on Clouse, yes on more. I'm convinced we have offered EB and we're sincere with Johnson about giving him an opportunity at running back.
If this is the case, why haven't we been mentioned by him when talks about schools he's considering?
The dude has been pretty secretive about a lot of stuff he has been doing concerning recruiting. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he has an NU offer and hasn't announced it.If this is the case, why haven't we been mentioned by him when talks about schools he's considering?
