This is interesting, though I wish UK had made more of an effort to get Kevin Williams:

He was running 4th string at MSU when he left. I don't know what kind of talent was before him. Had good offers out of HS. Should be a January enrollee.

A post on the HOB indicates he likely had injury related issues that was the likely cause of his 4th string status...

Yes, and he was bumped down by Kevin Williams (Nebraska transfer) who is now starting at MSU. I think UK could have had Williams if they had made an effort - Marrow coached him in HS.

Our coaches are so incompetent. If we could've gotten Williams and our coaches said no thanks....well I'm not surprised at this point.

I would bet on it he chose Michigan State over Kentucky. Proven winner that goes to big time bowl games or school that hasn't been to a bowl in awhile. Can't blame him. Michigan state is a really good program right now.

Or it could be the more likely scenario - he was recruited over at Michigan State.
He had elbow surgery and was in a cast last spring - makes it tough to dig out of that hole when you are out a significant period of time due to injury.

So no, not the likely scenario at all.
