Epic/ Godfthr53 a question?

As I have posted before, I'm more of "bandwagon" fan of naz through my friends and their kids. I've grown close with the program during last season with all the tailgates and parents socializing.

Can you give me more info on the OLine? You say they have linemen and I shouldnt be worried. But just this weekend a graduated senior said he predicted that they are going 6-3/7-2. Then will compete for state in 5A. But he said the line/depth is a "serious" issue. That they are going to have to be injury free not just on the Oline but everywhere if they want to make some noise.

Was hoping you can enlighten me, this student may have gotten spoiled with those monster blocking last season or has already developed the, "back in my day..."

Thanks.

Please tell me about these Naz Tailgates. And this Senior who was spoiled by blocking. Only 1 senior touched the ball more than 20 times last year and I know you didn't talk with him. Sorry no fish here.

Godfather,

Technically 2 Sr's, you gotta count the QB too. I agree no fish here either!

Wow why are all the Naz poster so prickly and so easiley upset. All I asked was a simple roster question about Naz's biggest question mark. I thought I go right to the 'experts' It's like right away right away you think there is some secret agenda against Naz? You guys made it, let the chip fall off your shoulder.

Im first and foremost a Rita Man. I went there years ago before Rita even moved into Quigley prep. Can a guy who lives in LaGrange Park, who loves Catholic high school football, who has a strong relationship with Tim, and whose best friend's children went to the school, and the kids I've coached while they were in grade school are now at Naz, simply just root for Naz? Or do I need to pass some secret naz test to prove I dont have an agenda, because you know the whole world wants naz to fail... Ive lived in this neighborhood since Phil Reed went there, I've known Dennis since he Coached at Benet, and I've seen the dark days of naz football. You Naz posters sometimes make it really difficult for Naz to be likeable.

Jwarigaku I apologies, Im just a simple Midwesterner, sorry if that offends your east coast elitist attitude...

I'll answer both your questions

1. The student was a backup and did not carry the ball it was just his opinion (also when I said he was spoiled by last years blocking that was a compliment to your Oline)

2. Sorry tailgate would be the incorrect definition, I would say pregame/prenight a handful of parents getting together. One of their sons was on the team and he is going to Notre Dame, and it isn't Julian Love.

I hope I passed the 'fish' test, it was a simple roster question jeez....

There is only one at Notre Dame and he was not a "backup" and his father sure didn't say anything critical of the program.

That being said when you have that much turnover in a season on the line there certainly will be concerns over depth and the ability of kids to step up. I for one am confident in the line they have and am concerned about injuries and depth.

I just know Naz doesn't allow tailgating which was why I was thrown off but I bet NazDad knows of these gatherings. I also know that only 2 seniors ran behind that line so I again was thrown off that you didn't say backup. As NazDad said of course there will be growing pains with the new OL but I like who they have in there and still pretty good size and athletic ability. The team still returns 13 starters and should compete in the ESCC. No way 6-3 but 7-2 could be a possibility and I don't see anything wrong with that as long as you end up 12-2.

I know Donald was not a backup and NEVER said that, I was referring to the OTHER student who I used to coach back in grade school. He didnt even have a crazy prediction just that they might lose some games but will still be able to compete for state. Holy cow calm down.

Gosh you naz poster take it easy. I was merely looking for an answer like 65, 63, 62, 55, 53 look to be the starting Oline or so and so is on the oline(calm down dont worry these are RANDOM numbers)
Or an answer like so and so has really stepped it up in the off season and is having a strong summer.

I mean the game is less than a week away and a simple question of how the oline is doing got everyone's panties in a bunch.

Take a deep breath and breathe, you guys made it to the table

NazDad are your initials, TK? If so we are going to laugh about this later.

You are correct with NazDad. Nothing in a bunch here, just wasn't sure when you posted about tailgates and senior running backs. At this point I would say from what I hear is that the O Line looks good. It's not going to be last years line and we know that. But I don't think we need it to be either.

Western,

No panties in a knot here. I was just reminding Godfthr that there were 2 Srs that touched the ball frequently. An that I wasn't biting on the vague open ended assertation that there were huge concerns. Yes, we have established that the roster is thinner than anyone would like, but it is what it is and I think we will be fine this year...that said would love to have last year's line back forever! Based on your description of yourself I'm wondering if you still have a youngster playing age group FB that is a QB?

Well, actually there are two tests, one for being a "bandwagon fan" and one for being a "friend of the program". The friend of the program test is a little more expensive.

Personally I'm a little nervous about the OL too, but every HS team has turnover so they have to make it work.
