This guy is interesting You all need to check out his commercials with Dr. Ralph Stanley , Jessco White and Obama girl. I've got a general idea of the case but was wondering if anyone else has a " fresh take" on why he got targeted by the Feds.

Why did he get targeted by the feds? Didn't he fraudulently obtain high nine figures worth of money for his "clients" and keep some of it for himself, his corrupt doctor and judge? I'm sure that's the kind of thing the feds normally just let slide.
BTW, did he really use one doctor and one judge for all the cases? Guess lawyers don't need to be smart...

he didn't get targeted...he spray painted a the worlds largest X right on his own *** as he gamed his way through and to millions of taxpayer dollars.
Never heard of the man until the recent headlines. And your right those alleged incidents helped to bring heat on his operation. I've heard he was summoned to a congressional hearing and pled the 5th which is his constitutional right. Congress had seen Kentuckians getting an unusual amount of disability cases awarded in their favor and I think at that point it's was a forgone conclusion the FBI would have some heads rolling. And the Grandmaster Flash of disability got himself hit.
I do think the guy is an interesting person. It's been said he dated a porn star, he built a Lincoln statue in front of his joint and I just watched the production of the commercial with the Obama girl, Dr. Ralph Stanley and Jessco White ( the dancing outlaw). Who does this? Only Better Call Saul and he is fictional, yet here is a real type lawyer like that and it's interesting. This guy's is straight out of a John Grishom novel.
With any Federal case I reserve judgment until serious FACTS are produced because they can force you to do many things and make up the narrative as they go or as it suits them. Not saying the guy is not at fault of a law being broken , just saying in every Federal case we need to be cautious of forced ha do from draconian US attorney's and their henchman because they play dirty,....and then people wonder why we have the largest prison system in the universe over the fine countries of North Korea, China( worlds largest pop.) Russia and every other corrupt regime on earth.

you can read the indictment online. i don't trust the feds, either, but if one tenth of it is true...and i think it probably is, he can kiss his hillbilly high-life good bye. my wife is from pikeville, and everytime we drove past his place i laughed...it was an obvious deal...like a gatlinburg attraction. he was a putt putt golf course and ski lift short of starting his own Law Park.

I remember reading a couple of years before this came out about a judge that had granted an inordinate amount of disability awards. I would assume it's the same case.
Wasn't it in Conn's office that MJ interviewed the guy from Cleveland who helped rescue the kidnapped girl? This was a few years ago on KSR.

Most people in EKY had given up on the Feds ever coming after him, so it's a pleasant surprise.
I feel sorry for the people that went to him who were truly disabled. Even if only 10% of them were legit, that's still a whole lot of people whose lives are potentially ruined.

He stole (for himself and his clients) millions of dollars from Social Security. The guy was so greedy that he drew the attention of 60 Minutes. I wish that they would make an example of this guy and give him the maximum penalty for each count of every offense.

There's an overwhelming amount of evidence. It took a while for the indictment to be returned because special prosecutors from outside the district are handling the case.
Also, they drew the most difficult judge in our district. There won't be any free rides for anyone involved.

Looks like the Conn man got bond for around 1.25 million. I see a hasty attempt at absconding in his future along with plastic surgery and covert trips to safety deposit boxes in the Southern Hemisphere. He is the most Interesting Lawyer in the world,.....stay thirsty my friends.
