Haha, gotcha! I'm back!. I figured I would reintroduce myself like anyone cares. This is the first time I have opened this site in probably 4 years. Good to see some of the same ol fools on here like Crestrulz, mbdfan, RR2, Art, ahscougar1, etc! Hope all of you are doing well. I know what you're thinking, Erwin has a good season and BD comes out of his cave. Honestly I just got burnt out on football and life when covid happened. I watched from afar but didn't go to any games for a few years. It didn't help that my Warriors were having 500 seasons either. That being said I can honestly say I'm having fun watching football again. This Erwin team is the best since the Brown brothers. Great sophomore qb and solid team around him. Take away one fumble in the red zone against Heritage and they are undefeated. Will they win state, hell no! Can they pull off a upset, maybe! In all honesty, it just feels good to see something positive after seeing my hometown get ravaged a month ago. As someone that was on the front lines of recovery I have seen things I'll never get out of mind. Having a little joy on Friday nights is a welcome change!

Thanks man. I've been working 90+ hr weeks since the storm, but thankfully I have a boss that let's me leave just in time to catch the games on Friday night.
Yes sir. The MAC championship goes through Reynolds once again. We will have to play our best Friday night to have a shot. Fingers crossed!
Good luck Friday..I knew Guest was good but now I think he is Real good...power runner with breakaway speed... Reynolds couldn't cover us man to man in the first half but switched to a cover 3 in the second and found success. If we weren't playing TC I'd love to see your game

Thanks. My house had some damage but nothing like what a lot my community suffered. It's hard to imagine till you see it in person.
It’s a little sad to not see a lot of action week to week on this board anymore. I used to be on here daily trying to stir up the Lee Edwards folks. 10 years ago I would have pulled for ACR to lose to the Taliban. Now I pull for the rockets most weeks and Reynolds is the only hs team I’ve watched in the last few years. I do live in Fairview though.
Not this week though. Erwin is about to make the 69-28 game look enjoyable to the rocket fans after this one is over lol. Should be a great game at one of the best places to watch a hs game in NC.

Welcome back BD, no trash talk from me, I got total respect for what Erwin is doing out there. This week should be a fun one and may the best team win. I do hate the fact that Asheville and Erwin didn’t play this year, having 4 good teams in our conference is really good to see and something that I hope will continue in the future as it just makes each week that much better!
Thanks man. I have enjoyed catching back up with high school football. I'm really looking forward to this game Friday. Not to take anything away from a very good Heritage team, but I think this will be Erwin's toughest opponent. I'm not fooled by Reynolds record. Those losses were all to really good teams. Erwin will have to play great to have a chance.
More importantly, how did you fare in the storm? My heart really goes out to Fairivew. The damage out there is unbelievable!
Fortunately our family didn’t have any issues other than power outages and water issues. The water still isn’t drinkable though.

Great win for the Warriors!! It wasn’t the prettiest game by either team but Erwin got it done and secured their first Conference Championship in a long time. I know Guest went down late in the game. Hoping it isn’t serious.
Felt good to that one of our back finally. I really hated seeing Guest get hurt at the end of the game like that. He's a hell of a player. Just hope it's not too serious. Congrats to my Warriors on a great season and conference championship!

Hats off to Erwin, they played better and deserved the win. We made too many costly errors and stupid mistakes and Erwin played a good clean mistake free game, it’s just that simple. Good luck in the playoffs you should be playing at home for a long time.

You don’t truly get the devastation until you lay your eyes on the Swannanoa’, Fairview’ Burnsville’ of the world. I have have virtually all of the bad areas on my work route. God help the place we call home! Have you heard from Rocketman? I’ve reached out to check on him but his number has been changed or something. I haven’t talked to him in a year or 2

I know what what you mean. My job has had me in Swannanoa and Biltmore since day one of the storm. I couldn't believe the amount of destruction I saw. It will take many years to return to normal if that's even possible. I haven't talked to rocket in a few years either. I miss the old days of going to random games. I just lost interest around the time of covid. I will say this year has been fun. I really like this Erwin team. Best since the Brown brothers I think!
