Final week of the regular season..some big games in the ESCC:

ND-29 Viator-22...I think the Dons get a bounce back win and some momentum. If they lose, will they have enough playoff points?

Marist-48 JCA-7

MCC-24 Pats-20...Both teams need a win to get in (and even that may not be enough for the Shamrocks). I think MCC's defense does enough to get it done.

Naz-49 Marian-0...Roadrunners meep their way in to the playoffs (assuming sufficient points)

Benet-22 CoM-21...Looking forward to this one. Both teams have very tough defenses and could be a tough out in the playoffs.

Viator 21 ND 17....tough one to call. I'm guessing the Lions bounce back after a tough loss to Naz. ND is offensively challenged.

Marist 42 JCA 7....a long year comes to a merciful end for the Hilltoppers. Unfortunately, it's against the conference champs.

MCC 28 Pat's 24....can MCC win two games in a row to save their playoff hopes? If so, they could make some noise in 5A with a decent draw. Pat's is trying to avoid a 5-game losing streak after starting 4-0.

Naz 42 Marian 0...the Roadrunners saved their season last week with a big win in Arlington Heights. 5A looks awfully promising if they can find their stride.

Benet 21 Carmel 14....the Corsairs have been a great story. Benet needs this game in order to host a playoff game in round 1.

It would be nice for CCHS to beat Benet and get a better seed, but that's asking too much, just happy they are in the playoffs. They are in, aren't they? Looking at their schedule, they have not played a (right now) sub .500 team, that's pretty rare I think. Did not have JCA or Marian in their schedule.

They have 48 points going into week 9. They are safely in.

Viator 27 ND 14 Dons dont have enough weapons to hang with the Lions. Viator earns 6th win for the first time in over 10 years.

Marist 42 JCA 7 Redhawks are cleary the best team in conference, lets see how they do in a loaded 8A field.

Pats 21 MCC 20 Pats finds a way to get off this slide and limp into the playoffs.

Naz 49 MC 0 Naz young team has grown up to be pretty good at the end of the year. Might be able to do some damage in the playoffs.

Ben 24 CC 10 I would think Benet could score more, but CC eats a ton of clock on their drives. CC no match for Benet on either side of the ball.
