ESL vs MC common opponent

I just want to point out that people cant even seed these two teams in relation to each other but think that people should add 30 other teams for people to seed instead of the clear and systematic way the IHSA does it.
They are in different playoff brackets.
Let them just concentrate on the teams they will actually play against.
There's a fairly easy solution to all this speculation. Enough trying to find random teams from around the country that bail at the last minute, make The Classic ESL, MC, Loyola, and LWE and have them play each other on a rotating basis every year. Any team that refuses to participate loses any right to lay claim to the best team in the state.
The actual solution is for the SWC to allow ESL the freedom to move to whatever class they want.
While the Classic gets it close to the desired game, the true match up is when it counts - in the playoffs.
Not really sure why the SWC has this rule. If the larger classes had quads or seeded 1-16 there would be a high probability of playing ESTL in round 1. But that’s just not the case and the chances of drawing ESTL in round 1 is minimal.
Bellevue West just got drubbed by MC in round 2. How is that any different than ESTL doing it?
If all the 6A schools requested up to 8A and all the 5A schools requested up to 7A we could get ESL, LWE, MC, and Loyola in the 6A playoff.

2. ESL got matched up with other SWC conf opponents quite often in early rounds when they were playing in 7a. There was also a thread on repeat matchups from conf foes this year in round 1.
3. Many Mt. Carmel fans have used a similar reasoning as to why they dont voluntarily petition up to 8a (to have a conf champ in both 7a and 8a)
The debate goes round and round annually and until the SWC feels pressure from the member schools or whoever else to make this change - it’ll never happen.
ESL is a damn good program and deserves the opportunity to show the rest of the state they are the best.
