Maybe ESPN has focused on the rational middle ground of rational people in this era of "feelings over science" . I would rather err on the side of calling Trainwreck Jenner courageous than giving any credence to the "stone the infidels " crowd that thinks they run **** now. If you can't handle some deranged ******* wearing some makeup without some pity or feel a need to help him figure his way out, you are a ****** person, and a worthless citizen. If you wish harm instead of help on these people, God help you, because you are the lowest of all. Go ahead and bring up your rights and tell me I'm wrong about this, because I'll still think you're a piece of **** afterwards.
what the hell? It's not that wish harm on him. YOU brought that up. It's that it's SOOO obvious of what agenda is being pushed here. You sure are a judgmental son of a *****. I think it's an effing joke that bruce jenner was considered as some sort of here. GOod grief liberalism ruins everything.

Being a father doesn't take courage. It's literally what you are programmed to do. That's why the dbags who manage to screw it up are such low-lifes.

I have several kids. It's a pleasure to hang out with them, teach them stuff and provide for their well-being. Nothing else I'd rather do. But don't chalk that up as courageous.

I have 2 and yes it's what we are programmed to do but if he had courage he would have received help for his mental issues to make sure he remained a father to his kids. That's what I meant.

'Have I made mistakes? Certainly': Caitlyn Jenner admits regrets in new Diane Sawyer interview... after admitting the Kardashians have frozen her out

In a recent episode, Caitlyn is seen telling former step-daughter Khloe that she's upset nobody from the family calls her anymore.

She told Khloe: "I just really feel like over the last year and a half we certainly have grown apart. Day after day after month after month, nobody calls, nobody checks in.

Caitlyn continued: 'Just, "Hey, how are you doing?" You can't help but sit there and think, "Okay, is it because I transitioned? They don't like me anymore?" I want to know what I did wrong, what I didn't do wrong, what I did right, and move forward.'

Well their biggest downfall is no one needs a highlight show anymore...like sportscenter. Anyone can get highlights in real time on demand on their phone
Except that ESPN is the publisher of many of those highlights. No ESPN, no highlights (or a lot fewer of them).
And I think you can best believe that as subscriptions continue to fall along with revenues that media companies will find mechanisms to provide revenue from their content. They may require special apps to play that content or that you provide subscription info to a licensed service provider.

To those trying to connect politics to falling subscriptions, decline in ratings for NFL games, etc... what about NASCAR?
There is no entity that plays more to the demographic that gripes about "liberal" anything than NASCAR and its ratings, popularity and attendance has plummeted.

More than anything I think it is simply a return to the norm. We went through a period where ratings and attendance for most sporting events went through the roof. The market becomes oversaturated with content and people tire of the product. Add that the boom led to an explosion in salaries and spending which in turn led to higher ticket prices which eventually prices more and more people out of the market and turns some fans against the teams/sports that they had long supported.

Jenner's team is the one that contacted ESPN about getting the award and when they started dragging their feet, Jenner's reps threatened to pull the Diane Sawyer exclusive with ABC if they didn't get the ESPY.

Disney owns ABC and ESPN.

Glad that a mentally ill weirdo who hasn't been an athlete in 40 years gets a courage award over a little girl who was dying of cancer but scored a basket in college basketball to fulfill her dream.

Sick.

You snowflakes just love to complain about everything...
Are you still bitter about your team blowing that four touchdown lead? You kept saying how you couldn't wait for the day after Election Day, but, come that day, you were nowhere to be found on these threads. I was actually worried about you, and am glad to see you back. I am pleased that you have recovered from your shock.

Just watching SN, and these clowns keep joking why ESPN is failing because their left wing liberal agenda...essentially making fun of anyone who thinks such. Obviously theyve been listening to and disregarding viewer feedback. Dumbasses.

If they would just go back to 1/2 hour SC, and put that on repeat all morning. That was their recipe...it worked. We watched that **** all morning in high school. Oh and get rid of Smith and Hill.

Jemele Hill being employed shows exactly where they stand.

Don't dare be against your daughter sharing a bathroom with a grown man. But if you want to compare the Celtics to Hitler, Cal to Charles Manson, say Favre should get batteries thrown at him, downplay the Orlando shooting and Islamic teachings because "the US has been homophobic as well," write about whites being genetically inferior, bash whites and praise Obama and be the Al Sharpton of ESPN, you're fine.

Not surprising. The leftist media pundits never face punishment for what they do or their takes. Conservatives sure as hell do though.

Although it's not ESPN, you think Brian Williams should have kept his job despite fabricating stories, which got guys like Stephen Glass, Jayson Blair and Janet Cooke blacklisted from the industry once upon a time?

Different sets of rules for political views.

In fairness, if you saw some of those interceptions, Favre absolutely should have had batteries thrown at him.

The fall of ESPN reminds me of the fall of MTV.

It was THE hottest thing on TV and "poof", a few programming mistakes here and there, now relegated to the dustbin of history.

jockstrap_mcgee is correct: its all about youtube and twitter. I get all the highlights I want from Youtube (haven't watched Sportscenter in years).

Yet they keep all of their hardcore liberal personalities who love talking politics on the air. ESPN is toast.
Libs aren't exactly known for good decision making. Emotions make everything a challenge. Bruce already claims to miss his dick. The sun will come up tomorrow.

Doing it right takes courage and a great deal of self-discipline. (Courage to be bashed by liberals that will make all kinds of disparaging remarks about men being real men)

Man gets home from work. Turns on SportsCenter to catch potentially a preview of Spurs-Warriors or Ducks-Predators....

What does he get?
