MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (January 23, 2018) -- ESPN College GameDay Covered by State Farm will make its second visit to West Virginia University this Saturday, January 27, as the Mountaineers play host to Kentucky.


The 11 a.m. national show featuring Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Jay Williams, and Seth Greenberg will showcase the day's events in college basketball live from the WVU Coliseum floor.


Admission

Coliseum gates open at 9:30 a.m., and admission is free to the GameDay broadcast. WVU students should enter through the Gold Gate with a valid student I.D., and the general public may enter through the Coliseum’s Blue Gate. Fans are asked to sit in sections 104 – 112 at the Coliseum. Additional seating will be made available in the upper level sections on the Blue Gate side of the Coliseum as needed.


Parking

All WVU season parking passes will be valid for the ESPN College GameDay broadcast at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27. Season parking pass holders may park in the Gold lot until 1 p.m. Lots will open for College GameDay at 8:30 a.m., and will be cleared at 1 p.m. The passes will not be punched and will also be valid for use for the Kentucky game Saturday evening.


Free parking for the general public who plan to attend ESPN College GameDay will be available in the Blue and White Lots at the WVU Coliseum. The Blue and White lots must be cleared by 1 p.m.


WVU Coliseum parking lots will reopen at 4 p.m. for Saturday night’s matchup with the Wildcats.


Additional public parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at a variety of lots on the Evansdale campus including Lot 45 at the Creative Arts Center and short-term lots ST1 off of Patteson Drive and ST9 behind the Creative Arts Center.


Parking is also available at Chick-fil-A on Patteson Drive and the Green Lot at the Mountaineer Station on Van Voorhis Road.


Transportation

Shuttle service is available from the Green Lot for $4 round trip. Shuttle service will begin at 9 a.m.


Shuttle buses for WVU students will run from the WVU Towers Residential Complex and Mountainlair starting at 8 a.m. and running until 12:30 p.m. The PRT will begin operating at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.


WVU Coliseum General Information

At the conclusion of ESPN's College GameDay program, the Coliseum will be cleared in preparation for the Mountaineers' home game against the Wildcats.


Normal game day policies will be in place at the WVU Coliseum, including the clear bag policy, which only permits clear bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. More information can be found at wvusports.com/clearbag and the Basketball A to Z Guide on WVUsports.com.


No tickets remain for the Kentucky contest. All fans attending the WVU-Kentucky game are encouraged to take part in Stripe the Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 27. Fans in even sections are asked to wear gold, fans in odd sections are asked to wear blue. All WVU students are encouraged to wear gold.

I see that the WV fans are now embarrassed at their team losing 3 out of the last 4 games. I don't see Game Day being a big success given that the 'fans' that come out for Game Day in Morgantown will have to hide their face(s). Ain't spectator sports a funny thing! Warez
