Just flashed Mark Few's win loss record of 421-107 which is 80.7% winning percentage. Said it was the highest in NCAA history.

While impressive, Rupp blows that out of the water at 876-190 for 82.2%

Easy to rack up wins playing a cupcake schedule each year. Embarrassing that he is even considered for that near record coaching where he does.

Rupp coached at a real school, went to Final Fours, won national titles.

Nope. Chalk up another victory for the UK haters. The Conspiracy is alive and well.
You just don't accidentally miss big time stats like that, not in the computer era.
Please Lord help UK to go undefeated so I can watch all the haters heads simultaneously explode!

Would you please make another stupid bet, and then banish yourself for a year when you lose it? Please?

They also forgot Clair Bee. I suspect that "active coach" (true) got garbled into "all-time" (not true) somehow. But yes, it's all an evil conspiracy (psst- I'm part of it too. So is your neighbor. And his dog).

Clair Bee was, his entire career. Long Island U was NIT champ in 41, when that tourney was equal to the NCAA. He's first, Rupp is 2nd, and it's been that way for a long, long time, except a brief period where Tark was ahead of them.

Shock that ESPN doesn't have its facts in order................blame Skipper for running loose ship.

Odd to see the 14th best record accumulated:

14. Student Coaches: .7813

ESPN probably doesn't acknowledge Cal's 615 wins either huh?

woodencheater would be far down the list without his paypal sam gilbert.

to make the list "complete", the woodencheater record should include --"and Sam Gilbert"--so all know it took 2 to reach the win total listed for woodencheater.

Just an observation that should be noted.

That is a really dumb statement. Mark Few is a very damn good coach. I get they play in the WCC and all that, but to say Gonzaga's wins and Few's are cupcakes, well that is just hating because he is a great coach. I guess Boise St sucks to in football and their wins do not count. Well if they are in such a terrible place, how does he get all those really good players to come play for him ???? To me, that shows how good he really is, winning without elite talent. Hell look what Kyle is doing this year, national player of the year candidate. Exactly how tough was competition when Rupp coached ? I am sure you can look at SEVERAL wins on his resume and erase them. YMCA's and other wins need to be stricken from the record,,, according to your thought process. Urban Meyer sucked cause he coached at Utah, oh wait. Tarkanian played in a ****** conference. You do know Few has turned down many top jobs, right ??? Would love to see a home and home with Gonzaga, be some pretty fun games. This year if they meet UK in the tourney, Gonzaga COULD give UK trouble, they have inside and outside game, size, and depth. Be careful trashing Few, he may get the last laugh.

ESPN isn't known to get many things right and there are way to many to mention from title counts and stats. They like our own national news agencies just make up there our to satisfy their big money contributions and ad support.

If its truth and facts you want, ESPN and your national news are places to avoid.

You are right, I am sorry. UK is the only team who has great coaches and we win every year, never lose to a team with lessor talent. Once again, excuse me for being so open minded and taking my UK blue shades off. What exactly is not accurate about my post ? Are you saying no way in hell the Zags could beat us if we face them ? I sure as hell hope UK players do not have this way of thinking. IF they faced off in the NCAA, bet your *** the players would rally around KW and give that little extra effort to try and show KW is a big time player, and can play even at UK, and not just at some little bitty, unknown program in that horrible WCC out west.

Of course they did, Rupp interned tens of thousands of Japanese-Americans and killed millions in the Holocaust.

Its a good thing, because they don't inform me of anything.

Except team x is the first team to win on three straight mondays that were the first monday of the month since 1951

Maybe they should focus on real stats like Coach Rupp's win percentage

ESPN makes such a big deal on all time coaching wins. Now a number of coaches has surpassed Coach Rupp's 876 win total.

I always find it interesting that win each equals 876 or wins 877, the number of loses that it took to get there...like way into the 200s or 300s.

Nobody ever points it out that Coach Rupp is the only coach to win as many as 876 and yet lose less than 200 games, in fact, 190

Nobody ever points out that every coach that has won 876 games or more, got to that point losing in the 200s and 300s games.
Coach Rupp is the only coach to win 876 and lose less than 200, 190 to be exact

Anyone who thinks a team that relies heavily on Kyle Wiltjer could beat Kentucky in a game where Kentucky would be ready to play (such as the NCAA tournament), just isn't a smart person.

ONLY Coach Rupp lost fewer than 200 games...190. That to me is more significant than anything else.

Yes there are a few mistakes being made on ESPN, Jay Bilas mentioned that Adolf won 5 NCAA Championships instead of 4.

If Rupp coached the same amount of games as K and you applied his 82% winning % he would have 1072 wins. I know, apples to oranges, different times, ect. If Rupp had coached that many games maybe is winning % would be less, maybe more? Who knows.
