Normally I couldn't care less about this but heard on radio that Reid projects Sellers at #9 to the Raiders. If he ends up projecting top ten after this season (or probably just first round), he's gone.

The overall results haven't been there but he still has a play every now and again that flashes his athleticism and potential.

I guess the NFL just sees his physical traits, which can't be coached, and feel like he has great potential with the right coaching.

I'm about 99 percent certain he's gone after this season.

Can't see any way he comes back, unless his draft stock really dropped for some reason to 3rd or 4th round and he really didn't have a choice.

Even so, does he come back to play for Shula and this offense again? I can't see why he would. If we actually changed OCs does he come back for his last year to play in a new system? Certainly not.

This, imo.

Gone are the days of pretending he's the best qb in this class. The scouts will take him based on his physical gifts and the idea they can introduce him to coaching.
He's pretty much AR15 with a better long ball.

In my opinion he needs another year to develop his passing. As a runner, his ability to break sacks, extend plays, and pick up yards is about as good as I’ve seen from a QB. His ability to process and dissect the defense is virtually non existent right now. I mean we’re not seeing him later balls or throw back shoulder. Basically rpo, hitting a receiver with a step on his guy over the middle, and a long ball or two a game. His arm talent is still really good, but I wouldn’t want to take him in the top ten right now.

Knowing the family, he’ll come back to finish his degree and play with his brother.

When everyone was saying that Rattler was one and done I said he’d be back. I’m thinking the same thing with Sellers. After a 4-8 finish, and falling QB stats, I can see his nfl stock falling. We shall see.

I used to see the reason to go pro but he can make 2.5 million a year in college. Now there is no NEED to leave

I saw several outlets that had him at 3.7 million for this year.

He could comfortably retire if he came back for just one more year.

True but if he's a top ten pick he's looking at 10x that. All the guys at Big Spur and Mike Morgan say he's gone after this season but who knows.

The question is: Why would he come back?

Only reason I can think is to play with is brother, if his brother gets reps next year.

We aren't competing for anything meaningful next year.
He's not getting developed well as a QB.
Our offense is completely awful so he's looking at that next year if Shula returns.
If we actually changed OCs, then he's playing in his 3rd system.

Right, and does he want to run for his life for another season.

He may want to get his degree? Even though it may not mean anything financially for him.
