Cal was an utter failure as a pro coach, why would the Knicks be that stupid.

Don’t think the Knicks would take him but as far as the Knicks being stupid they did just fire the first coach to get them to the Eastern Conference Finals in 25 years.

This is true. The Knicks had not been to a conference final in over 20 years, they finally make it, what do they do, fire their coach, their fans are screaming for players to be traded, what lunacy.

Funny thing is, Cal would be walking into a situation where minor umm "tweaks" could literally put him in a position to win a world title.

If they ask, he'd be crazy not to go.

Sorry but it’s not a world title. It’s the NATIONALba. Yeah blah blah blah one can argue they would beat any other country but that simply isn’t true as shown by the olympics and other tournaments where the best or at least a bunch of all stars isn’t assured of winning. The players try to claim it too but as games and tournaments show, favorites don’t always bring it home; that’s why they play the games.

I just cant see it. Even when he was peaking at Kentucky, there never seemed to be a real HARD push by NBA teams to get him. Unless im missing one, they always seemed to be rumors. Maybe a phone call to gauge interest.

But not, his most recent years as a coach have not been great. And that gets added to his failed years as the Nets coach. Plus hes that much older. Hiring him for a Knicks team that needs to win now, would cost people their jobs.

Hes maybe suited for like a league-worst NBA team, where there are no other options.

I think it’s what you said. He was awful with the nets and has had a very poor recent track record, especially with the talent he has had.
