ESPN Radio lineup shakeup

I drive a lot for work so get to listen to a lot of sports radio. ESPN is shaking their lineup up a lot this year.

- Sedano and Stink became just Sedano.
- Bomani Jones got a new night time show
- SVP and Rusillo Scott Van Pelt announced today he is leaving the radio show he loves, to do ESPN Sportscenters at Midnight EST. Obvious demotion, may as well announced he's doing the mid-night Sportcenters from Siberia.
- Colin Cowherd's contract is coming due and currently in negotiations.

Bill Simmons is also leaving ESPN in September. I like SVP, they should have got rid of Mike and Mike instead of him.

I don't know about Mike and Mike, i'm on West Coast so they are off when I head to work in morning. The way they talked on the SVP and Rusillo show, the show is still going, but without SVP. He's going to do midnight Sportcenters. But Rusillo was talking about doing other stuff today too in future so not sure, think it's still being worked out. I'd look for the LeBatard Show to move up to earlier in the day, especially if Cowherd leaves with his pal Bill Simmons.. that would be a good radio show Bill and Colin

I think ESPN is betting on a younger market. Sedano, Rusillo and Jones are all in their 30s. The fact that these millennials could possibly like Bomani Jones is all I need to know about this s--t stain generation.

SVP is getting his own "late night" show. He's clearly not getting demoted, they're making him their face.

Their radio show will be blown up. Effing sucks, only podcast I ever listened to to keep up on sports and hot takes.

ESPN will bend over backwards to keep Cowherd as opposed to how they treated Simmons. Why, because like Skip Bayless, Cowherd is a mindless shallow troll who likes to EMBRACE DEBATE!!! by throwing out garbage takes that drive up hits/discussions/tweets.

SVP and Russillo is my favorite radio show. Sucks its ending. Be very curious to see what Russillo does. Him and Simmons were doing some NBA stuff together. Wonder if he follows Simmons. I think his contract is up soon.

This is in no way a demotion for SVP as others have accurately stated. Would I have wanted to do it? No, as one of my dream jobs would be being a sports' talk radio host. That said, SVP does a fine job on Sportscenter and will do great in this slot.

Local, Leach/KSR, Rome, Czabe, Ferrall, Bruno

I don't know a single person who doesn't HATE Mike & Mike, yet it seems everyone still listens.

Mike and Mike has gotten better over the last few years - of course that isn't saying much. They occasionally have good guests, and they're not as goofy as they used to be.

Cowherd has some pretty good takes, and he likes to talk college football which is a plus.

SVP and Rusillo - I really like them when they stick to sports. I don't like them when they start covering pop culture or telling stories of their time in college (SVP) or bar tending (Rusillo).

Sedano - Sucks

Bomani - Sucks

Freddie Coleman - I'm actually a big fan.

Best ESPN radio show was the old Tony Kornheiser show before Cowherd.

Jason Smith was good on the overnight show.

Eric Kuselias wasn't bad before he went to TGC.

Hate Mike and Mike. They both think they are just Gods gift to Earth. They aren't funny in the least and they have zero chemistry.

They are not very funny, but I do think they have solid chemistry together. You do not stay on the air and get great ratings for 15 years if you suck chemistry wise with the co-host. I have actually started to like their show more over the past few years, while being unable to even watch Colin at times and that awful First Take clown show. I work from home so I usually have some sports stuff on. Dan Patrick show is also an option as they stream it on TV as well.
