but with Boyd and Cox in the middle of our DL... should we really be 6th there? I would've guessed 4th... or maybe even 3rd.

someone has to prove they are a quality SEC DE for us to be ranked any higher. too much unknown there for us.

edited to ask: how the hell is UM so high at OL? seems like Masoli was running his *** all over the place last year escaping pressure...

And with all the smack I hear from Rebs about us losing all of our LB's, we're still a few tics ahead of them at that spot?<div>

Yeah, that popped out to me as well. I just don't believe that as a whole our WR's are 8th in the SEC but I don't know much about the other schools WR's. Is it just that the SEC is stacked at WR and Miss St is just now beginning to catch up in that position? That maybe the case.

I do not believe there are any AJ Green's or Julio Jones in the league this year either so I don't believe the gap between 8th and 1st place is that great but I really don't keep up with other teams that much.

That's because we used around 10 different starters on the OL last year due to injuries, and we only had 2 juniors, 0 seniors that logged snaps up front. We had a lot of new faces.

We were really young and shuffling a lot last year. This year our entire 2 deep will have a lot of experience, and we return a good number of starts.

Remember 2008 when you had a young line that got destroyed at times? Remember 2009 and 2010 when that young line matured? That's where we should be this year and next year on the OL. It should be our deepest and strongest position this fall and probably in 2012 as well.

To me the biggest factor in OL success is experience. We didn't have it last year. We should have a good bit of it this year and next.

I still believe that the talent at Alabama, LSU, and Florida will be as good if not better than the Bears. They just reload, and sometimes talent tends to be better than experience.

I think it will be decent, but I think Masoli made it look a little better than it really was last year. I think both their OL and RB will miss having him take a lot of the defense's attention. Not to mention without a credible passing game, the OL will be blocking 8-man fronts in the run game.
