"The Mountaineers want to play on a more regular basis, but Virginia Tech AD Whit Babcock has filled the Hokies' future nonconference schedule with struggling Power 5 programs such as Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Arizona, and Maryland in addition to long series with in-state foes Old Dominion and Liberty."

Loser scheduling

Virginia Tech has excelled under one head coach. What have they done since Beamer? Really what were they before? Florida State, Clemson are in the same boat. Except they won multiple National Titles with their one great coach. Virginia Tech played for one title. Their best win was beating Ohio State in Columbus.

I think this coach has a real chance too bring the Hokies back to respectibility.

No they are not! They are great….according to ESPN and their record. This is the reason why VT technically is not relevant. They play nobody. They lose to in state p5 teams but that entrance is sooooo coool. Give me a break
Sandman song is about a kid having nightmares.

Tech is 27-27 in the past 5 years.

27-27 in 5 years in the ACC I am playing against the likes of Old Dominion, Liberty, JMU, etc… if West Virginia had that schedule, with the should be guaranteed five wins a year against Georgia Tech, Boston College, Duke, WF, I would be livid. It amazes me that how one team or possibly two of the teams that I mentioned become a stronger opponent, their record is the one that will suffer
