It's common broadcasting practice to put a weak show on immediately before a good one to try and boost its numbers, and ratings, and lure advertisers

Been happening for decades

They don't do it because they dislike us

This is about as bad timewise as the KU vs. OK ST game was on Tuesday night. That game went way over before the Duke/Miami game on ESPN2.

I will note to everyone...ESPNnews is not an option today for our game. They have games on already and will not cut from those to our game, no matter how crappy the teams they are showing are by comparison to UK.

Don't look now but Ohio State is mounting a huge comeback. Time for a foul and timeout fest at the end of the game. May not finish until 4:30.

I would be curious as to the length of a Big 10 game vs a UK game. I wonder if it's a myth about their games being longer.

Looks like they would know to start a big ten game ten minutes earlier, they always go over.

Does any televised NCAA game finish in 2 hours any more? I don't think we have ever gotten to see the beginning of a UK game on ESPN.

Why don't they just plan 2.5 hours for games?

There is already a game on espnnews so I'm not sure what they are going to do.

Tip bumped til 4:15.....which is better than the ESPNnews switch.

I guarantee the cost of an ad during the last TV timeout of a game immediately prior to a UK game costs the same as if it were in the actual UK game itself. All about the money.

These Big 10 games ALWAYS run over!! Why don't they put them last in the order? Especially considering they usually fall into the central time zone???
