I did the free trial for ESPN+, I too don't have cable (cable is like a dinosaur, going to be extinct soon) and I borrow an email address for all of my television apps.
The app is nice, but I wasn't too impressed. One nice thing will be, for example, ESPN+ will have every single eligible sporting program live on the app, meaning you will get every single random college basketball game (Elon versus Iona for example) on the app. Obviously, every ESPN Duke game will be featured on there.

ESPN has shown for 10 years now that they are behind the modern times of technology, and ESPN+ looks like something that should have came out in 2015, not 2018.

Really? is it still watch espn for you? There shouldn't be any more free broadcasts.
I use a friends Uverse login and get all the normal WatchESPN stuff. The Spectrum account I used to use doesn’t work anymore on ESPN streaming even though it works on streaming TNT.

Have no idea why it is free. My high school son watches broadcasts at his mom’s home nearby. He uses my Att account number . With what I pay them each month I should get everything for free. Bought new larger iPad Pro and like watching 2 games at once.

I don’t understand all the hate for Espn. Name another company that gives you such content options from Cable or sports in general for that matter.

Sorry I meant it’s free with a direct tv account or cable provider account number. But that no longer seems to be the case or am I doing something wrong?

Really seems to be a confusing mess to me. I'm so sick of ESPN I'd be happy if they went away, to be honest. Total PC culture but that's not their biggest problem.

ESPN is desperate to find some sort of revenue stream so I'm sure that is all this is about. Watch ESPN was great but now they don't have that on Spectrum.

They have been losing viewership (for a variety of reasons) and have hurt the Disney stock since they used to be Disney's darling. They have basically one show worth watching, PTI. I find their morning crew ("Wake Up" - is that the name?) utterly beyond unbearable. I go to their site because it's laid out so effectively, never freezes up (unlike, say, NFL.Com - the WORST sports website on the Planet), and watch big events they cover. But as far as sports coverage, I prefer NBCSN, CBS, and FOX - their announcers and coverage is better. NBCSN's EPL coverage is as good as it gets (Rebecca Lowe is at the top of the game for studio hosts).

Hated that NBCSN lost F1 to ESPN. ESPN does a terrible job of covering and advertising the F1 stuff. And they switch channels all the time. It's a horrific set up. The actual race coverage (which is just the international feed) is actually pretty good.
