Didnt think much when he only came in after the game was pretty much over, but was shocked when Settles said he was a 4* that turned down an offer from Gonzaga to come here... that smells funny. How is he good enough for Gonzaga to offer but he only gets mop-up duty here? Ben played almost everyone last night...

Not surprising. Study what's important to Ben. Not the same things Fran looked for. He'll need to earn the PT just like Thompson. The other freshman Coon played a lot. Watch him defend all over the court..

Freshman playing time in general has gone down alot past 4-5 years. Aside from elite recruiting classes most teams typically have 1 or maybe 2 Freshman contributors. With NIL and portal rosters are just older and more experienced.

why is this so hard to understand? We are stacked at the "hy-brid" position that both Harris and Thompson play. They are part of the future. Be patient

its not hard to understand for us, I love the depth/potential... I'm just questioning his decision. in the age where kids now go to where they'll get the most playing time just seems odd he'd choose to go where it looks like he'll get very little PT... but maybe he/Ben have a plan in mind

Remember we didn't know we'd get Jaidyn Coon when Ethan committed.

Plus Ben runs a very developmental program so kids we bring in are understanding that PT is going to be earned, not given. It is part of the culture.

Lipscomb plays 3-4 guards at a time, so it wasn’t a great opponent matchup for Harris to see playing time.

his size will be needed for majority of opponents moving forward, doesn’t mean he will play more per se, but last night wasn’t ideal.

I like Harris's handle and movement at his size.
He actually looks like a real tall guard,unlike many guys his size it looks like he was a ball- handling 6 ft guard who went thru a big growth spurt....still has quick feet and handle.
Needs some upper body weight...hope he sticks

Holy cow it was game one and he's a freshman and evidently is not ready for a lot of minutes. Not many freshman are. Did you expect him to play 35 minutes? I doubt Gonzaga told him he would get a lot of minutes right off the bat there

I'd wait for a block of games, say 5, and see what transpires. Ben is still refining the roster. One game is insufficient to determine many things.

Harris is a guard, himself.

So it wasn't the match-up. He's just not in the rotation

We're better than Gonzaga now anyway. And we were last year.
