Going to roll out a ton of these starting today. Really no great place to start so I'm starting off with the verbally committed kids in the 2018 class then I will also be adding in several 2018 and 2019 names as well. Remember...all of this info is solely intended for the EDGY Nation audience ONLY. Note: All heights/weights are estimates and can and will change.

Name: Jayshon Jackson

School: Simeon

Graduation Year: 2018

Position: Wide Receiver

Height: 5-foot-11

Weight: 160 pounds

Recruiting Status: Open- has added so far 7 offers including 5 from the Mid American Conference.

Has EDGY seen him Live? Yes. Twice live in 2016 and again last winter/spring at various camp circuit events.

About Jayshon Jackson: Jayshon Jackson was a standout quarterback/receiver and defensive back for Simeon and head coach Dante Culbreath. Jackson was a consensus All City, All conference and EDGYTIM All State player in 2016. Jackson also plays travel 7on7 for Boom Midwest and runs track for the Wolverines.

EDGY's Take: Jayshon Jackson has been a constant on the various 7on7/camp circuit over the past few seasons. Jackson has played multiple positions for Simeon yet to me seems the most comfortable and makes the biggest impact at receiver along with having the ability to return kicks. Jackson will be more of a slot back at the college level and has just terrific speed, is a real quick twitch kid with ball skills and moves. Jackson also is just a high level athlete who seems to make tough catches and plays look easy. I also was impressed with Jackson's overall strength including a set of very strong hands. Jackson catches the football with his hands as well and as consistently as any top level recruit in the 2018 class. Jackson is also a non stop competitor who just won't leave the field much if at all. Jackson has very good hands and can high point the football as well as any receiver in this class. Jackson also has several gears and impressive separation speed. I would also not be stunned to see Jackson gets some potential looks as a cornerback.

Could improve upon: Really the only "knock" on Jackson is his overall size/height, yet at least for me that becomes more of a non-issue based off of Jackson's overall game and physical skills. Jackson will be a slot at the college level and I actually feel Jackson's size can become an advantage...not too many LB's or S will handle Jackson.s speed, quickness and sheer motor and determinations.

EDGY's Early Evaluation: I was really, really impressed with Jayshon Jackson last fall. I liked what I saw from him pre 2016 season yet once he hit the field Jackson was able to raise his game to another high level. Yes Jackson is a bit thin and doesn't have the prototypical length etc. yet outside of say 2017 standout Jeff Thomas (Miami Fla.) Jayshon Jackson was as impressive as any wide receiver I saw live last season.

From a rankings perspective? I would start Jackson off as a mid to upper 3 star yet I have a feeling that early initial ranking could change with a strong winter/spring. I just see Jackson having a real chance at becoming a bigger impact player in the right school/program/offense at the FBS level.
