I agree completely brother. Gotta have a short leash with these coaches nowadays. The longer mediocrity gets to set in the harder it is to get out
In case anyone ever asks you to give them the definition of the “Peter Principle”, just simply point them in the direction of Mark Pope as UK’s MBB head coach!

5 years from Cal and now 2 years into Pope that's 7 years..... That's just way too many years to be swimming into mediocrity....
He was never truly qualified to be our coach to begin with. How he was hired is a mystery. Could it be that the big donors have too much influence in the hiring process ?? I don't really know ... and how/why was Pitino's influence ever even a thing ??

Rupp Rafter crowd was the one building him up the most. Take that away and you would call it a mystery hire. No one knew much about him.
This has to be his last season. Go get us an aggressive coach. Somebody unapologetic.
Because we just had a hall of fame coach swap destinations and as a fan base we were looking for anything. Felt good to have another hall of fame coach come by and say some nice things. In the end we are screwed. Save the nostalgia. Get us a basketball coach.
Pope is getting the same results he got at BYU. Shouldn’t be a surprise.

Unfortunately players alone can't win a championship without a good coach. I was a huge Pope fan last year but as the season has progressed and definitely after last night I know he is over his head. No adjustments on either side of the ball. The offense is basically playground just keep taking contested shots while the other team get wide open 3 pointers ever game. Still no set rotation. No way are you getting Stokes or any other top recruit.
Why have returning players regressed and not gotten any better?? I don't call out players but some still can't do basic fundamentals that freshman in HS are doing.
Folks we've seen enough of his coaching now. If you have any knowledge of the game you know there so much lacking and it won't magically fix itself.
One youtube video on his offense ans his presser. And most were sold as the next Hurley.
