Here's the problem though - we don't score when Greer is in the game. The last time we produced more points per possession with Greer manning the point was the Penn State game, when we scored 15 points in 13 possessions with Greer at point (1.15) and 63 points in 59 possessions with Boo (1.07).I agree that statistics are just a general guide. I could see Berry playing the point eventually. I'm just looking at Greer as (probably) the best guy to put in that spot right now. Sadly there are only 2 games left and this year was just as bad as last year, when nobody expected that.
Since then, in the subsequent 7 games, we've had the two Rutgers games where both Boo and Greer were a disaster at the point and Audige performed far better, and in the other 5 games, Greer-run lineups have scored 55 points in 75 possessions (0.75) while Boo-run lineups have scored 214 points in 207 possessions (1.03). Audige-run lineups have scored 61 points in 71 possessions (0.86) in those 5 games.
Yes, Boo can be a frustrating player, but we simply play better on offense when he is in the game lately.
