I'm keeping to myself but I agree. This has got to be the biggest game of the week by far. GO BLUE!

But why isn't anyone talking about LWE @ HF? This has gotta be the best game of the week.

LWE 31 HF 28
If you insist, I will weigh in, but narrowly. HF is really a running team, which is likely connected to the youth of its soph QB. Against quality opposition, he may not be necessarily called upon to lead the win, particularly off dropback beyond 1-step throws. Through the air, the Vikes might be more inclined to threaten off openings created by play-action. On the ground, they put many in the box to position lead blocks ahead of their TBs, the most frequent carriers. Blocking angles are common for OL and RBs along with mis-direction paths for the latter. If LWE adds more in the box and stuffs the run, but HF can't hurt them to the perimeter or in the air, moving the chains could be hampered. Additionally, if the LWE DL can control the inside run without bringing more bodies inside (similar to the Maine South game), they can leave defenders in open space to help outside and in the air. Finally, watch out for HF top player in the "wildcat" as a "wild card."

They just put Hall wherever they need the play kind of like how ESL used Jeff Thomas. That's on offense and defense. Like I said in the other thread I generally will take LWE's D vs 1 player. But this is a special kid. I'm having a hard time picking a winner but I'm leaning toward H-F, however I want LWE to win since we have them week 9.

I'm gonna take LWE in this one.

I watched HF beat LWW last week 28 - 9 and HF is the same HF team it is every year

The good:

On O they are big but rely on their athleticism to win games
- Two touchdowns were short dump passes over the middle that
ended up being long TD's
- one TD was on a muffed LWW punt
- only 1 TD was on a long sustained drive where they ran it down LWW's
throat

Their D looked impressive
- LWW certainly does not have a prolific O but they are improved over last
year and as of midway through the 4th, LWW had no 1st downs
(The D impressed me more than the O)

The bad:

- they had way too many penalties that killed drives or cost them big plays
- Their special teams were awful (Two 1st half muffed punts lead the way)

As for LWE, I have not seen them play but when you can give 4 of the 5 teams you have played their only loss (CM, MS, Andrew and LWC) and also beat a Sandburg team who has played a brutal schedule themselves, you are battle tested.

While HF has also played a decent schedule, I think in the end, the LWE schedule, the better play on special teams and (unless HF cleans things up) the edge in penalty calls gives LWE a slight edge. Both d's appear to be very solid so I think it will be lower scoring than most expect.

LWE 24 - HF 21

Very Classy HF.
DID NOT take the field for the National Anthem. Did not even have the decency to remove your helmets!
So sad. Used to respect them.

Glad to see their pre-game decisions aren't really working for them.

I'd like to see a Maine Southing commense

Final 29-7 LWE
Jcrew...nothing new about the pregame as H-F and Buzea have done the no show for years. I can remember back to back years, both at H-F and LWE they stayed out of the stadium proper. 2013 was one of the years. Was there an IG88 sighting?
