Hearing he was a little under the weather this week now. Damn I want to see our guns, Giles, Tatum, Bolden!

Kennard is amphibious.

Although we do seem to be giving up quite a few open 3s.

It's clear Matt is the lead guard.

Good stuff so far.

Look pretty good as a whole considering whose sitting on the bench. Nothing looks real smooth just yet, mostly due to odd lineups I'm sure.

Despite the opponents, it's easy to see White and DeLaurier are better then expected. I'm not expecting huge contributions this year, but I like them in the future!
Honestly I think DeLaurier and white are ready right now to make big contributions if at any point they are called upon during the season.

Let's not get carried away. I have definitely been impressed with Javin who I think is a more athletic and physically ready version of Amile when he came in. He can certainly provide some minutes when called upon but I wouldn't say big contributions should be expected. Jack and Javin have great motors and go hard every minute they're out there and that will be what they bring to the team this year.

I'm just happy to know that if called upon, the fall off won't be that big, with white and DeLaurier on the floor. They look comfortable, work hard, and have better strength then I expected!

Is Jeter still no good for us this year? Eh? Or should I read too much into one exhibition game?

It depends on what you call big contributions, if given a chance I could see Javin come off the bench vs KU, score 4pts 6rebs 2blk, Jack-2-3pt shots, to me that's huge, because your bench just gave you 10pts.

Hopefully this game builds confidence for chase but their post players may not start in good HS teams.

One thing I'll say about chase. His ft shooting looks awesome! He needs to use that to his and dukes advantage. Against good teams he should be looking to get fouled to help himself get points, get the other team in foul trouble and help duke get into the bonus. A lot of bigs don't like getting fouled because they aren't good at fts. Chase can knock them down.

I was just thinking about this re: Chase. He seems very comfortable at the FT line, more than any BIG in recent memory. He should work on finishing through contact so he will have plenty of AND 1 opportunities as well.

Team looked very good. Showed even better than last Friday. I would like to see the turnovers and occasional carelessness with the ball minimized a bit more.

Chase looked better. I think playing with confidence is big for him. I don't think I've ever seen Matt Jones dunk in a live game in his 3 years at Duke and with his weak hand no less!

The first real gauge of what this team will be comes against Kansas on the 15th. I wish Giles could be ready for it, but that's not gonna happen. It's going to be interesting to see how this team looks and what kind of rotation is developed once they're 100% healthy.

So we won by 53 to the Dll Champions without three potential NBA lottery picks in Giles, Tatum, and Bolden. . . . . I like it.

I'm also hearing that K said in the presser that Tatum and Bolden should be back for the next game and Giles possibly by the end of the month?

That is correct. He also said Harry will be doing some 5-on-0 work this week in practice. Would be really nice to have him in the rotation by the Michigan State game.
