When I go to Iowa State's and Northwestern's team page on the ESPN+ section of the app, it starts listing games in November (which leads me to believe that their formatting doesn't recognize exhibition games). When I also scan for "upcoming telecasts" neither page features this Sunday's tilt.
My understanding of these non-con games is that the home team's media affiliation will be the indicator (and XII's main media partner is ESPN, and they put all XII hosted games in Olympic sports on ESPN+). For example, I imagine next year's exhibition at W-R will be on B1G+ (or maybe the BTN if it's that slow of a sports day).
So...I'm hoping this is just a glitch, and that it would actually have it on the ESPN+ platform. I realize that ESPN itself is going through some transition with regards to launching their own app, and new tiers like "ESPN Unlimited" and whatnot, so wonder if this part of that fallout.
I have had ESPN+ in the past but don't anymore. So I don't know what it shows! I am able to see the games through other means.
A lot of the usual places where I can check where the game is showing, don't have it listed, like, for example, ESPN itself:
ESPN has the full 2025-26 Northwestern Wildcats Regular Season NCAAM schedule. Includes game times, TV listings and ticket information for all Wildcats games.
www.espn.com
I don't think that's unusual for exhibition games as, if memory does not fail me, in previous years, those games were not listed either, even if they were shown on B1G+. I had to resort to checking the NU sports page itself. That's where I found the ESPN+ reference (Illinois State is also absent from other listings, but not the NU site):
The official 2025-26 Men's Basketball schedule for the Northwestern Wildcats

Crossing my fingers we can watch the game on Sunday. I have some withdrawl from the long off season!
