How the coaches expect to get through the season with eleven players is absolutely ridiculous.
Maybe get JadaG back. She certainly should have "fresh" legs.
??? Look at the roster the last several years. How many of the last two or three players on the roster EVER played a single minute of real basketball? Jada, KJ? Practice isn't issue either with the mens gray squad to practice against.

Is hard to get excited about preseason polls but it's good to see them getting some respect.

None of us want to see McKenna used at a 5. I just threw that possibility out earlier due to the possibility of injury or Layla drastically not meeting expectation. It’s foolish not to have a back up plan in our back pocket. If, unfortunately, that should happen they could use her and go with the 5 out read and react with her at a 5 and Journey at a 4. That would be tough to guard but certainly creates some defensive issues. They are both regarded as great rebounders so I’m not sure how that would play out. Just bored until the games get going so I’m thinking in print. 🤓

LASONDRA BARRETT EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW | Iowa WBB preseason | Week 256 - Brada's Branded Thoughts

Thanks for posting, A few main take aways for me, Her talk about people in players camp not aligning with the staff made me think of Addie and Aliyah Guyton. Let the coaches coach and develop your kid. I think in some instances the parents ego is hurt more by their kid not getting minutes than the actual player.

You can tell she is really high on Jocelyn’s potential. With her overall lack of experience I expect some ups and downs this year but we got a glimpse into her potential in the exhibition game and it’s pretty exciting to think of her future.

Finally, Speaking on the impact on the 5 year rule change and her saying they basically had to tell some 27 and 28 recruits that they were no longer in the teams plans. While I don’t know if she would have eventually ended up at Iowa I believe Mya Wilson was possibly someone she was talking about. Makes me think they will be very selective in the 28 class and then possibly very aggressive in the 29 class.

Impressive debut for Jenica Lewis at Notre Dame.

I believe she was an Iowa target at one time.
The box score shows she came off the bench and played 32 minutes, quite a bit more than a couple of starters. Does that indicate she may be pressed into the starting line up soon?

Unsure, but not starting and playing 32 minutes is noteworthy.

Boxscore says only two TOs.
That's going to be a big miss, imo
