Listen Pops......go eat your butterscotch pudding and enjoy todays bingo in the gameroom. It's 3;45 so its almost your dinner time.

Wrestle Jax now!!! Do not redshirt!!! This is the era of portal(i hate it but have no control), Unless a wrestler needs development, put your best lineup out there whenever you can!!
#1, don’t like your own post.

#2, this man is Royalty around here and disrespect is not okay.

#3, I agree on Jax.

It seemed like good natured ribbing to me. Wrestle through it.

Also, my account won't even let me like my own posts? Any pointers on how to change that setting on my account would be appreciated in case I ever have a friend who needs to know how, I can show them how.

See, I gotcha.

Also, I’m not good at typing sarcasm? Even though, we need Obe around for a long time…

Obe has already been here a long time. I won’t say how long, but I’m pretty sure the first match he ever saw was during the 3rd Olympics. And Joberfire is just jealous because he knows he isn’t the favorite son.
Charlie, as long as my oldest brother in Portland is still living, Micco and I will never be the favorite sons.

I believe the technique would be to create a second puppet account.

Not only could you like your posts, you could argue with yourself and play both sides.

Then if one take is so unpalatable to the forum's base, the other account becomes more accepted. Eventually, the liked account says something unpalatable, and a new puppet is created to engage it. The circle continues ad nauseum.

I believe this may be the way of certain master trolls or alleged paid haters on the Iowa forum. I don't expect that same kind of effort to be taken here. This forum is too reasonable and doesn't seem to cotton to personal attacks. Case in point, the good natured ribbing was quickly addressed with a light touch.

I prefer 33 seed. Quick warmup match then catch the #1 cold and take over his spot with no real 4 seed (because you are the real 4) in your way to the finals.
Has any wrestler seeded 32 or 33 gone on to win the individual championship?

Your preference notwithstanding, while it might make history, I don't see a path that would have Jax making the tournament to be seeded that low.

If you are gonna come around these parts, it behooves you to know Cowboy history.

The only #33 seed to AA, did lose to the #1 seed along the way, but I do not think Forrest would be the same kind of #33 seed.

Turns out that there have been 18 unseeded NC’s since 1950 but the closest we have to this that I know of was Mark Branch, 1994. He has an 8 and 9 record going into the NCAA but they only seeded 12 back then. After that I think it was a random draw. He was unseeded and defeated unseeded Laszlo Molnar 4-2 in the final. Branch beat #2, 6 & 7 while Molnar beat #1, 4 & 5 (a couple of giant killers).

Jax situation with # of matches is obviously different coming in second semester. I would like to see him try to get a couple of more at last chance open if the date works. But I definitely think our scheduled this year was a pretty light with some big holes from the Nebraska Dual Dec 21st to OU Jan 11th being 3 weeks apart and then having the following weekend off. Now with the Utah Valley dual likely not being rescheduled that's only 12 hard duals scheduled not considering National Duals. That's 3 matches in over a months time.

I looked back at some recent schedules when JS was coaching and we were scheduling 16-17 duals with Southern Scuffle. I understand its a change of mindset with a new coach and we have sent a few of our starter to some small tournaments, but looking at our 9 starters from the start of the season the avg number of matches currently is ~11. That is pretty low IMO.

Hoping we can get back to Cliff Keen next year along with National Duals.

Whatever gets titles is what I want first and foremost. With that being said I love watching these guys compete and for me I would really like to see National Duals paired with either CKLV or Scuffle. But purely selfish motives there.

Would have needed to hold him out till B12 then wrestle to the last qualifying spot but still not a guarantee.

I assume Jax doesn't want to lose and won't lose. When Jax wins B12 he won't be seeded that low.

In 2016, Kyle Snyder was 7-0 in his abbreviated regular season. After going on to win the B1G tournament to qualify for the NCAAs, he was seeded #2 that year. But this was before the 2019 seeding formula.

Since the seeding formula -

In 2023, Aaron Brooks was 9-1 regular season before winning B1Gs and being seeded #3 with one loss and without an RPI, as he had less than 15 matches.

In 2024, Carter Starocci was 12-0 regular season before forfeiting out of B1Gs and being seeded #9 with two losses and without an RPI, as he had less than 15 matches.

So it is very safe to say that there is no way that an undefeated or one loss Jax Forrest is seeded below 10th if he wins the B12 title.

Agree Jax won't be as low as people think

1. Weird it doesn’t show up as liked on my screen. But I agree. Must have been an errant thumb.
2. Royalty? Debatable…. Anyway giving grief to my Pops is a birthright!
3. Knew you would agree from earlier posts.
I knew he was your pops! I’m also terrible at conveying tone with text.

It has eluded me on how to show I’m smiling when I type.

I worry when @grumpy_okie is laughing that you don't know how to show a smile.

BTW: where are the pre & post parties this weekend? 🥳

Cold weather tailgating is one of life's simple pleasures. Unfortunately, I have GA tickets so I have to get in early to get a good seat.
