F-1 teams don't run spec cars. Each team develops their own. F-1 is also the most cutting edge form of racing in the world. Their drivers are also the highest paid. Lewis Hamilton's team salary last year was 57 million........and that doesn't include his endorsement,appearance and side monies.
Yeah. I know F1 is the great open run what you brung of the world and I knew it was high dollar. I just didnt realuze they were running half a billion budgets. That is insane.
Basically billionaires racing club. Teams of 200 plus members.
Yes......but the top teams in IndyCar and NASCAR are owned by billionaires and millionaires.
Haas owns a team in F1, Indy and Nascar. F1 and Indy teams do collaborative deals because some of the tech is comparable. F1 is just the 10 richest race teams in the world spending crazy amounts of money. I doubt there are many 100 million dollar Nascar budgets. Maybe a big multi care team like Hendricks has that kind of budget spread out on 8 cars over 3 series.
Gene Haas does not have an IndyCar team......he has cars in F-1 and NASCAR.
Carl Haas,no relation to Gene Haas,along with Paul Newman owned the NewmanHaas racing team which last ran in 2011. Carl Haas also had a F-1and a NASCAR team many years ago.
Sorry. I assumed the F1 Haas was Gene the same as the Indy and Nascar Haas. I think Tony Stewart is working with Gene now in Nascar. Carl Haas had a Nationwide series team too according to wikipedia. Odd that they are not related. I didnt even realize there were 2 of them.
No need to be sorry........I once thought they were connected.......Haas is not as common as Smith or Jones.
Just from being around it some 20 years ago I always assume if the names are the same they are brothers or cousins. Of course then there is Bubba Wallace.
