I’ve gone through dozens of OESOs - easily my favorite roses recipe. A lot of great OESKs as well.
This year’s 4RSmBLE is pretty solid. Not on par with 2015 or 2012 but better than the last few years’ offering.
RR store picks are consistently very good as well. The latest SAOS LE Rye is really tasty.
I've started to go by price on the ones I like.. idk what its like in KY, but in NY prices can vary by 20 to 30%, from one liquor store to the one down the block.
If someone has Buffalo Trace for 40 or less I grab it. But sometimes places have it for much more. I kinda like Elijah Craig. Once in a while I'll spring for something in the 60 to 80 range if its new. But for making drinks, a 30 dollar bottle is fine.

I scored some Henry McKenna 10 year at a good price. Made a fat man smile it did.
Not a "find" but sticking to McKenna 10 year...have a hook up at local store. Have slowly gone through his case, lol. 12.3.09, every bottle...good stuff. Used to be able to get it at Kroger every weekend a few years back, when it beat PVW in taste test it took off....hard to find now.
I got a Railbird OF and a Four Roses. Pretty excited to get into both of them.
Picked up two MWND, a Makers 2020 wood finishing series, and an Elijah Craig Toasted this week.
Ran up on a Weller special reserve half gallon for $41. I know the bourbon isn’t spectacular. But that’s a damn good price.
Wife got me this for our wedding two and a half years ago. Still milking it.
I just picked up a Weller 12 yesterday. Looking forward to opening that bad boy tonight.
Got really lucky yesterday and found a EHT Straight Rye on the shelf at Total Wine in Hamburg. Also grabbed an 4R barrel strength OBSV. For a trip that was made to see what beer they had, turned out to a bit more expensive than planned.
I take back everything I previously stated about EHT Barrel Proof. Mine opened up and was round, complex and simply a monster.

Which Kroger?
They had the ECBP at the Versailles Kroger last Friday. Apparently per Geese Feeder there are people that line up at the liquor shop there every Tuesday and Friday just to get the semi-allocated stuff.
I know distribution is different everywhere but it still always blows my mind. I see ECBP at $60-$70 sitting on shelves around Chattanooga and Atlanta all the time.
To be honest, a guy I know bought 3. Called me before doing so and asked if I’d be willing to trade a 4R Small batch Limited edition for 1 if he got them.
I agreed.
Tomorrow my local guy is getting a case(3) and 1 WLW.
Not sure if he will give me a shot at both aWLW and GTS.
I miss the old days when HK did barrel picks. Still have 4 left.

Nothing special but I’ve been finding the Weller special reserve regularly. Would like to get some antique which seems to be fairly abundant these days but I haven’t seen any.
