And here we are with people who are convinced there are G5 schools worth $20 million to the Big XII (like East Central Cincinnati Tech State) who are not happy the conference felt better with what they had than a watered-down version with reactionary additions.

So far, let's recap:
- Damn it! Fire Bowlsby!
- Get the ACC/SEC on the phone!
- We are DOOMed!
- Big East 2.0!!!
- Leadership screwed us!!!
- Fire DeForest!

Get a grip. The BOD voted to explore expansion, not to expand. They did their due diligence and voted to not expand. Just because you didn't like the result doesn't equate to a poor process. Yes Boren shot his mouth off and shouldn't have. Yes we are better at 10 without a CCG (I'm aware we are getting it anyway). No, the sky isn't falling.

Take a deep breath. We have those frog bastards from Fort Worth coming to town.

Head in the sand always a good play when stressed. You forgot that the GOR didn't get extended so as we sit here today there is no comitment to the conference by Texas and Oklahoma after 2025ish. So, come 2022 the Big12 will be in a tough spot if Texas and/or Oklahoma look around and lord help us.........leave the conference.

And watch when those who think this is trivial and we're good, start to show concern come 2022/2023. Kinda like shortly before VT, Miami, and BC left. Remember the angst most of us expressed the summer before they left? Going to be like that again, should they (OU and UT) decide there will be no GoR extension and look around.

There should be a law that all GORs must bind schools together for eternity.

Simple, really. Think of all the fear, apprehension, mistrust and angst that could be avoided.

Why has no one thought of this? Is there ANY good reason for schools acting in good faith NOT to bind together for eternity? I cannot think of a single one.

Forever, together, forever - just like a marital vow!

Well, it's certainly not good news for WVU or any conference team not named UT or OK.
But we do have a few years before we really have to sweat it.
I do think there are G5 schools that could improve ANY P5 conference.
Schools like BYU, Houston, UConn, Memphis, Cincy etc are already better than many P5 programs (Vandy, Northwestern, Indiana, Kansas (football), Iowa St, etc). Expanding by adding parts that are better than or equal to several other parts = a better whole. A big part of this is perception and right now the perception is that the B12 is the number 5 conference.
