Totally agree. I’m a diehard supporter, however we deserve better than this. All the players deserve better than us. This guy hit the lottery and we made him a millionaire and he just goes riding after the sunset with a dumpster fire behind him that you could see from space.

Bad years happen...but so should good years. Kneel doesn't have any good ones.

That's not a punishment...

If you do something else with your time, it's not punishing someone else.
Great message to send the already committed recruits and the players already here. If you're not going to support with your money, time and presence then you have no rights to complain.

As I've been saying for weeks: The numbers warned us. Ignore the numbers and you regret it. Worse WVU career coaching percentage in 43 years, 4th worse in history cannot be ignore by any intelligent WVU fans. The Iowa State game so embarrassing. The only thing that didn't make the score worse was Iowa State dropping more passes than a nerd at a supermodel convention!

The powers-that-be only listen to $$$$. That's it.

And you have stated you want to see a change. So whether it be no fans in the stands, or a coaching change, the "message" to the recruits will be a mess anyways with EITHER situation. Do you think that if Brown is let go that we keep HIS recruits? Not....a.....chance.

Dante Stills is the person that my heart breaks for. Could have, should have, went NFL. This guy stays the course and believes in a clown.

I’m grateful for Dante. I hope he sits out the rest of the year and does what’s best for him

Then why are you even on this message board? It supports WVU athletics. Brown was able to Keep all of Dana's recruits not that they were worth a crap. Fans act as if they control everything when they control very little.

Perhaps he stayed because he knew he wasn't getting drafted.

Incorrect. I'm allowed to complain as much as I want.

Fans are consumers. It’s economics. That simple. If you don’t understand that if consumers aren’t willing to purchase a certain product and the company doesn’t make a change to that product then the business will crumble…..well then, there’s nothing that can be said for you.

You are probably too young to remember. But I remember when Coca-Cola changed their recipe. People hated it. Stopped buying it. Next thing you know the company made the necessary changes.

Sports are no different. They run on a business model. Using your ideology is why we have people who will vote for a specific political party over and over regardless of how bad they are as politicians.

Ha. I'm probably twice your age. Do you even remember the first time we had a 4 year disaster? What about when they ran off one of the most succesful coaches in college football? Bill Stewart wasn't the first coach run off the job with a winning record.

I can’t support this concept. The kids deserve our support regardless of how anyone may feel about the leadership. Turn out and show up for the players. Give Oklahoma hell!

Maybe that was the case before, but with NIL and the new portal rules these are essentially professional athletes and hired mercenaries.

Loyalty goes both ways, so when we put out a product that sucks that’s the message the fans have to send.

FYI, I liked Stewart. Mullen was the problem as OC.

They aren't kids and they have a responsibility to the school, the team, and fans. Or...they can go hang out on some street corner.

Which means Stewart was the problem. Stewart shot his own career dead. After a season where WVU gave up less than 13 ppg on average and never gave up more than 23 total points in a single game while still finishing with 4 losses he indicated that he would not even consider changes to his staff. That single moment proved to everyone that he did not have what it takes to recreate what RR left.

Are you forgetting that Stewart lost to ECU, Colorado, AND UConn? Do you remember he was within a Tron Martinez fumble of losing to Marshall?

Hard to argue with you in the age of NIL and players in the portal at alarming rates the last few years. Still, as long as they’re putting on the blue and gold, the players will get my support.

YOU MEAN THE 70% WVU CAREER WINNING PERCENTAGE? TERRIBLE, HUH? EVEN THOUGH IT'S BETTER THAN WHAT NEHLEN, RICH, BOWDEN AND DANA DID!

What part of "He was a Tron Martinez fumble away for losing to Marshall" did you not understand? Apparently CFE forgot the Erin Andrews quote "there's mass confusion on the WV sideline" during the loss to Colorado. He also must have forgotten the opening game beatdown by ECU in Charlotte. I remember Bill Stewart from his days at Sistersville High School in the mid 70's. NOTHING about him spoke anything about being head football coach at WVU. Remember, he was fired from VMI. In this age of woke, Stewart would have probably been chased out of Morgantown like VK was for what happened at VMI.

Stewart inherited a very functional program that RR built. He did have a measure of success, but definitely underperformed with what he inherited compared to RR and Nehlen. Let's also not forget that 6 games every year for Stew were against teams on the same level as the Big 12 doormat teams.
Ultimately you did not address the entire point of my post. Any coach that definitively states he will NOT even consider a staff shake up when you lose 4 games with a defense giving up an average of less than 2 scores per game is objectively not capable of doing what is necessary to succeed at a high level. Stewart didn't dance around the subject, he openly declared he would not even consider moving on from Jeff Mullen who has 3 consecutive years of steady offensive decline. You do not have to be an ******* to be a good coach, but you do have to be able to cut staff loose who cannot get the job done even if they are good people. Stewart just didn't have the heart to do that.
