Anyone know if there is any info out there as to how many tickects each team has sold as of today. I know Nebby travels well, but if that had been the Hawks in Ok City on Saturday...you can bet we would have had a TON of fans. It's like when the women played up in Minneapolis a few years back. We took OVER that arena. So, we can do the same. I just hope we show up. I knw some people who are going, but I can't because of work. UGH!!!

Just my opinion, but I suspect Nebraska fans will greatly outnumber Hawk fans. They had a one day head start in buying tickets.

Good point. I thought it was odd that Iowa had the Friday/Sunday schedule for the first two rounds, and then they got shifted to Thursday/Saturday for these next two. Seems dumb - not sure the reasoning behind this. It used to be where you'd stay on the same thur/sat or fri/sun schedule throughout. So, the scheduling really doing Iowa no favors, but is what is is. Just happy they're still playing!

Nebraska's players and coaches get an extra day to rest and prepare. I'd like to hear an explanation too. What's the rationale? I thought you always stayed on the same pattern you started--TH/SAT or FRI/SUN. Of course, I love what Ben would say: "It is what it is. I'm glad they did it. I'm glad they gave us short rest. I'm glad they made it harder." Damn, you gotta love Ben.

BTW: Fans, if you don't want to travel, keep that pivot foot down, okay? (y)

Nebraska will outnumber Iowa fans a that’s completely fine. They’re probably the best fan base at supporting their team no matter how bad they are *cough* football *cough*
Yep, but Iowa already took them to OT in Lincoln and beat #1 Florida in a virtual home game in Tampa. Ben and the Hawkeyes don't give a damn about the fans. They're ready to kick some more Husker a** and make 'em like it.

I think we should shame our fanbase into trying to outnumber Nebraska fans in Houston.

And if we can't, then the ones that do go down to Houston should show Husker fans "Iowa Nice" and beat the sh** out of them and take their tickets. 😃

Unfortunately, most tickets are online nowadays. Still, I wouldn't oppose beating up Husker fans!

Suppose Iowa and Houston manage to win the Thursday games. For the Illinois and Nebraska fans who stick around, who do they root for on Saturday? Do they cheer for their B1G brethren? Or do border-state rivalries win the day?

When Ben was asked about playing UF in Florida (and this was before the game was played) he said "It's more fun that way". So I think you're right. They don't care.

Iowa has played well in most road games against good teams. ISU, Purdue, Nebraska, and Florida of course. MSU was an exception but that was early in the year. Really, their bad road games were in the games they were supposed to win, oddly.

Might as well.

Last season we had jackasses on here trying to convince people NOT to attend games. SMH

Like how you were trying to convince people that they should support the women's basketball team less, so that the men's team could have more support because in your mind they literally can't f***ing do both?......................

You notice how he replied to a comment about different team's fans and made it about how bad Iowa fans are? Told you guys, that slimeball is not a Hawkeye.

Read better and try not to mischaracterize.

I wasn't trying to convince anyone of any such thing. I stated that what many will view as a disappointing season for the women, will end up landing some of them back at men's games rather than women's.

Yes, SOME fans are unable to, or at least choose not to support both teams with their attendance

Lol, what are you even talking about?

Let me spell it out for you:
Evil said, "I think we should shame our fanbase into (buying tickets).
I responded, "might as well. Last season there were people trying to convince fans NOT to attend games".

It was a couple posters. Mostly one guy. That doesn't mean "Iowa fans".

And nowhere did I even refer to anything about Nebraska.

I get that what's sometimes shorthanded communication through text, can sometimes get a little confusing. But at some point, one would also think you would just stumble into having a clue

I assume a big chunk of the Houston fans will be cheering for Iowa. Probably a sea of red, but I think noise will be more even
