I should have posted this first but say you want to take a chance with these fantasy games and you are willing to spend a few bucks but don't want to have to progressively keep spending to build your team and play. Which do you recommend?

Not really sure what you are asking. I play in a league on ESPN that is a group of 12 friends who have been together for 12 years and we ante up $150, have a draft and play a season out. I also have a DraftKings account where I deposited $150 and play weekly games where I pick a new lineup every week. Both are fun and keep the games interesting. If you have never played fantasy sports I would recommend asking around at work, church, etc, next summer and find a league needing a member and do the season thing before trying the daily out, but if you want to start playing right now, daily is the only thing you will find.

I always play the free games on ESPN. I guess my real question is do ever win any money? I mean if you just start out with 20.00 the first week can you win? This probably pertains more to Draft Kings and Fanduel,

I deposited 25 in a draft kings account at the start of football season. Bet 5 dollars on my first lineup and won 50

I personally like DraftKings better than FanDuel, simply because of the lineup structures. DraftKings uses 3 WR's, and FanDuel uses 2 WR's and a kicker instead of a third WR. More fun that way IMO. The minimum you can deposit on either is $25. I would HIGHLY recommend starting out with the 50/50 contests. To win money, all you have to do is finish in the top half of the contest and you win double what your entry fee is (usually). Some contests have thousands of people, some have only hundreds. With entry fees ranging from $2-hundreds.

I think 50/50 leagues on DraftKings pay out the top 45%ish, but pay the full amount back (bet $5 win $10). Fanduel pays the top 1/2 of players, but pays back less than what you bet (bet $5 win $9).

I read "Fantasy Games" and got excited. Then I realized what you were really talking about.....and was let down.

Anyone try the deal where if you deposit $200 they will match and add $200 in? Cant remember if its draftkings or fanduel. Thinking about doing this and just betting the first $200, then withdrawing the $200 they give.

Something tells me there is more to it than that.

With the deposit match, you have to play multiple games to get the money. Like you get a low percentage of the deposit bonus per game you play. I put $10 in Fanduel and played multiple games over the last couple weeks and still only have gotten like $3 of the bonus so far.
