Central Time is far superior than Eastern Time! I miss Central Time.
I will too.

DST can DIAF. I'm in early riser. I run in the mornings. It would be nice if it wasn't dark until 7:00 am half of the year.

That's just being selfish - it doesn't discuss kids waiting for the bus or walking to school in the dark just because "I don't like it being dark when I leave work".

“The National Association of Convenience Stores opposes the change, telling Congress this month "we should not have kids going to school in the dark." “

Now that NAoCS has chimed in, I don’t know what to think.

Obviously we should all change to Eastern Time. It has New York, Boston, the beach, the Appalachian mountains, the Gatlinburg Papa John’s, the home of the greatest tradition in college basketball, Kings Island, Cedar Pointe, The Statue of Liberty, the nation’s Capital, my house, the good part of the Gulf of Mexico, The i-75-I-64 corridor, several new Buccee’s, the Live Nude Girls AND Adult World spots on 75 south, etc. Obviously I could go on.

What does central time have? Sinkholes that eat Corvettes? Arkansas? Cities named after the adjoining state? What a bunch of malarkey.

EST/EDT for all!

I wish they'd synchronize all time zones to central time...the way God intended.
I got no problem with that. Then every place can set their own hours to do things. People in NY would still get up 3 hours before people in LA.

I support a commodity system which has to account for GMT to EPT differences and twice a year the stupid missing hour prices, spring forward, or the duplicate hour prices, fall back. I’ll be glad when the lunacy stops. Pick one, I don’t care, then stick with it. /rant

DST, EST, GMT, whatever. My coworker uses something called CPT that’s kind of like DST because he’s always running an hour later.

Don't even mention that damn GMT. I talk to some people in European countries and they would throw out that it is _______GMT there or _______GMT + __. Eff all that nonsense. You're EDT + __. Time to adapt to our way of doing things since you failed to jump in with our imperial measurement system.

Hear you there. But once we pick EDT, we‘ll always be 5 hours diff from GMT. Going to make my work life easier.
