Can't believe so many people missed out on Season 1. It was fantastic. If you liked the original or a fan of the Cohen Brothers.. 9/10 easily.

However, a little weary on the cast. Ted Danson *could* be good, but Dunst? Not as off as True Detective Season 2.. but we all saw what bad casting did to that season.

William H Macy, Steve Buschemi, and Billy Bob Thornton were made for these movies. They've had huge success playing off the wall, dark roles.. Now it's a bunch of sitcom stars.

We will have to wait and see.. but Preseason Power Rankings, I don't give a single one of the new cast members a top5 spot in the world of Fargo.

Watched season one on Hulu or whatever streaming service it's on. Great stuff. Hopefully it doesn't follow the other shows where each season is a mini-series. American Horror Story seems to always follow a good/great season with a mediocre or worse season. Season 1 was great, season 2 was mediocre, season 3 was good , season 4 was terrible, so I guess this means season 5 will be good. Haven't seen True Detective because I don't have HBO but apparently season 2 sucked compared to season 1.

Well prepare to be disappointed. I certainly won't be. It's a whole new cast, whole new plot. I loved the trailer and can't wait for the season to start. My only gripe is that Nick Offerman doesn't appear to be one of the main characters. He should be. Ron Swanson is/was the best character on television.

I don't think many people consider season 2 of AHS medicore, and most certainly do not consider 3 better than 2. That said, opinions are like aholes...we all have one.

I agree with others that the cast this year does not seem as solid. I was really hoping we might see Thornton and Freeman back in other character roles, ala AHS. I wonder if we will see a young Malvo in a cameo at some point this season...as that massacre thing he was involved in that they mentioned in season 1 is set during this era of time in the show.

Apparently people even believe season 4 was the best, which is highly laughable, as the rotten tomatoes season ratings have gone up each season. 64-77-81-87. I nearly stopped watching season four, so terrible.

I'm just hoping they stop with the Evan Peters and blonde girl romancing in season 5. That is beyond played out.

Are any of the characters from S1 on this season? I'll definitely be watching, S1 was a masterpiece.

Only returning character I know of is Lou Solverson. In season 1 he was played by Keith Carradine. He was the retired cop that ran the diner and was the girl cop's father. Season 1 was set in 2006. Season 2 is set in 1979 and Lou is a young cop and Vietnam vet.

I should really run through season 1 again, but wasn't Solverson the one who had a run in with Malvo a few decades back? Or maybe a run in with some other character. I remember he had a past, sounds like they are visiting this.

There were references to a massacre in Sioux City in the 70s, and it sounds like that is what they are going to revisit in S2.

In the Lou-Malvo showdown in the diner, Lou mentioned it as the worst thing he had seen as a cop. Malvo seemed to know what Lou was talking about. No direct indication that Malvo was involved and IMO, Malvo may have been a bit too young then. In any event, I don't think we'll see a younger Malvo in S2.

Well American Horror Story Hotel is looking like it's going to be pretty good. Getting back to the way the show was during the Murder House season. ANd Lady Gaga as a sexy, murderous, apparent vampire would even be believable in real life haha

I think season 2 has been pretty good so far. Last nights episode was as good as any last season.

Gah, Haven't been able to start Season2 yet. And not surprising, so many people are STILL not watching this show.

Gotta just sit down tonight and binge watch,

Season 1 had supernatural overtones, broader themes, which was part of the mystique, and part of the appeal for me.

Season 2 doesn't have that, and doesn't stick with you the same way after you finish watching it. It's different - more literal with more of a confined story - but I like it so far.

Just got caught up, amazing season so far. I'd put it on par with last season. Great story line and a lot of great actors. Enjoying this more than any show on TV right now.

I'm loving it so far. It's going to be interesting to see how future seasons pull together this season and the first, as this season is really playing out almost as a prequel.

Interesting to see all the nods to the Coens other films in this episode. Miller's crossing and big lebowski say hi.
Ted danson doing a good job.

We'll see which one's standing at the end. Maybe neither one, but my money's on Milligan.

That's probably right. I guess my point is, they've made Milligan a more likeable character - smart, charismatic. While Dodd is kind of an ignorant bully who (impliedly) molested his own daughter.
