Last time I ate there it was coming out of a box in the freezer.

Wish I had tried it many moons ago, sounds like it was good.
No, they still do it the same way. The walk in isnt the freezer. They have to store extra they made up in the morning in there for the lunch rush. I was in there descaling and cutting the fish at 7am, I promise. Not sure how youve come to this wildly innacurate conclusion.

Last few times I went there it didn't taste fresh. Quit going because of that. There are better sandwiches for less in Lexington.

I used to live right by that Detroits Coney Island in Lexington. I went in there once to get their famous fish sandwich and it was horrible.

Good to know you don't live right by there anymore '82. That area west of Harrodsburg Road is a changing.

Had the Popeyes fish sandwich today.

decent sandwich but Popeyes employees are bottom of the barrel
Have not tried a fish sandwich in years anywhere but, agree with the Popeyes service mostly every where I have been. FT. Sill's is terrible service. Only one that has ever had good service is the one in Lawton OK and I eat at Popeyes often. The manager there walks around ensuring everyone is taken care of and seems to genuinely care for her worker bees. Their staff is always cheerful and friendly. The one at Sill is grumpy and rude.

I can make a fried fish sandwich that’s better than all these mofo’s.

Had a Culver's fish sammidge basket for lunch today in Port St Lucie. I had been craving one since this thread came up. We were disappointed that they were out of the Walleye, but the regular fried Cod sammidge hit the spot too.

Finally tried Popeye's and it was not good. Not enough fish and too much breading. Too spicy as well for fish.

I asked my wife to bring me a fish sandwich from culver’s last week. i didn’t know they had both walleye and cod. anyway she brought me the walleye, which was good but nothing special. i usually prefer cod whenever i get a sandwich, unless i’m in florida and can get grouper.

I wouldn't have expected that. Good to know.

Moby Dick or Culvers for fast. O'Bryans bar on Flintlock in Louisville for sit down.
Obryan's isn't what it was.......it has been a couple of years since we have been there........the last two times we went there the old grease smell was terrible........the fish was too............I love fried food.......but if the grease is old......no way...
