Adding some stuff that strays from Spotify's recommended. What is your favorite album from 2017? Mine came out in 12/16, but I'm counting it. "Stoney" Post Malone:

The National - sleep well beast

Last week I thought it was going to be the new LCD, but this album dwarfs American Dream.

Anyone check out Dan Auerbach's new solo album Waiting On A Song? It was very interesting being recorded in Nashville with a bunch of obviously country recording artists. It's got all of his sharp songwriting, but a very different sound then The Black Keys or his other solo album.

Ahhh, I gotcha. I don't cover Lexington, and looking through my email, that doesn't appear to be the railroad I work for. No clue.

Good point. 1969 is the cut-off. FM radio is the shepherd and usher of all music. Thanks for your contribution.

I'm a metal guy.

My music will never die because it's never been accepted by the mainstream long enough to be ruined by ****** popular trends that get copycatted to death (with the exception of the late 80s glam scene). Truth be told, most music I listen to was released between 1975 and 1995.

Top 3 of 2017 for me:

I'm into pop emo alternative screamo rock. Bad omens and the plot against you is putting out some good stuff. Nick folio took the drummer spot in bad omens kid is super legit. Gonna be a great one.

Atheist music for sure. Requires blood sacrifice to lure the demon during melody tho.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit - Nashville Sound.

Awesome CD.."I'm a white man livin' in a white mans town, I want to do a shot of cocaine and burn it down." If you liked this CD try, Rodney Crowell's " Close Ties." Dan Auebach's "Waiting on a Song" Is a good CD..has a retro pop sound to most of the songs..Waiting on a song, King of A One Horse Town and Cherry Bomb are worth the price of the CD..

They were playing Greta Van Fleet as lead in on a sports radio show I listen to the other day, they sounded awesome. Will check this out this week.

If you don't like anything new you haven't heard enough. There are some fantastic bands out there no matter what you like. If you like rock and you don't like The Black Keys then you don't like rock. Get Pandora and listen to their station, stuff you won't believe you've never heard will ensue. Heck I found this band from the 00's I had never heard of called Wolfmother.
