2012. Nothing else was close imo. Such a memorable evening. may just rewatch this game tomorrow instead of the new coming up if things start going to far south.

notice the blocking from the OL and the running threat from Shaw. when nothing is open Shaw runs for 1st downs.

A day late on this but, my sister(junior at usc at the time) remembers the 2000 game and the gamecock fans mockingly singing "who let the dogs out" to the UGA fans as they left.

I have a particular one in mind, but now doesn't seem the time to talk about it.

The game in the Super Regionals where we hit 5 consecutive home runs.

I picked other. We beat UGa 27-10 in 1978 for the first time since 1959. Columbia was a very wild place that night. We followed that by beating them in Athens in 79. By some scheduling quirk, we played them in Athens in 1980 and 81. The 80 game may have had a different ending had it been in WB.

My favorite would be the 2014 game where "Georgia snatched defeat from the jaws of victory!" Don't forget that we had a crappy defense that year but we somehow managed to get the shocking Dub on that day!

As a HS senior, I sat in the upper deck for the 78 UGA game...there was only one upper deck back then and the stadium held 56,000 and it was sold out....the game wasn't televised so if you didn't have a ticket you had to listen to Fulton or Larry Munson, so it was a hard ticket to get....many didn't expect Carolina to win, since they had just come off a loss to Duke who ran the veer and was coached by Mike Mcgee. Carolina came out and drove 80 yards to start the game...they dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. UGA's defense under Erk Russell wasn't highly regarded and Carolina ran all over them with Rogers and Wright and subs Spencer Clark and Steve Dorsey...

UGA turned the ball over several times...I think Sanford had a pick....only TD for UGA was a 80 yard run from the line of scrimmage from Willie McClendon...it was a big win at the time....Carlen saying it was the biggest win since he's been coaching here...but Ga Tech beat them the next week at Grant field with Eddie Lee Ivery having a big game at RB....former teammate and friend Pepper Rodgers coached Tech at the time....he said they were friends but never hung out together since Carlen was religious and Pepper liked to raise .....

UGA's Ray Goff was coaching QB's for Carolina at the time.....Goff made a statement to the press that at Carolina the coaching staff cared more for the players than the staff at UGA did when he played QB there...said UGA just cared about results on the field....Dooley and the Georgia faithful obviously forgave Goff and welcomed him back after a few years on Carlen's staff....you could get away with saying stuff like that before the internet....Goff would have never lived that down if he had said it nowadays....but it was probably true because Carlen did care about players graduating.

Didn’t we lose that game?
We won that one. It was the first game of the best of three. I went to game two the next day. Rode over from Atlanta to Athens with a work colleague of my wife's. He was a UGA alumnus, and had a sister who lived in Irmo.

After we got back to his car and were heading out, some random person asked us how the game went. I replied "We lost." He quickly chimed in "South Carolina lost." 😁

Hitting was fine, but we had no pitching to speak of. Won the first game, but dropped the next two.

I go back aways. The 59' game I think where we were their only loss. Ruined their perfect season with Fran Tarkenton at qb and Charlie Britt, a North Augusta kid. Wally Butts, the little round man, was fit to be tied. Butts was a terror anyway and players were deathly afraid of him but played hard for him.

The Cocks scored in every way imaginable -- I think Coach Spurrier said something to this effect .... that he'd never been involved in a game that his team scored in so many different ways. My personal favorite was Melvin running down the sideline on a fake punt for a TD. Then the cameraman zooming on the UGA (human) mascot with his hands on his head was priceless.

All 'between the hedges'.
