Well, it’s not contemporary in the sense the OP suggested but it’s a favorite of mine . . . “Joy To The World (the LORD has come),” and the truth is still contemporary.

This was my favorite Christmas song as a kid. It's been covered many times. Emmylou Harris does a slower, traditional version and Sammy Kershaw does an uptempo, cajun version. Both great.

When I hear Mannheim Steamroller it reminds me of Rush Limbaugh.
