My brother in law is the co-owner and COO. They're pretty methodical about their plans, I've been on him for forever about opening in Louisville....they looked seriously before but it's finally going to happen. Going to be out in the 'burbs, not going to go head to head in the pizza heavy areas. They'll crush, but they crush everywhere they go.

I so hope you're right. My family has enjoyed Dewey's in Cincy on our trips there. My youngest just told me today at lunch that it's his favorite. If it comes here, he'll be one super-excited 9-year-old.

For a gluten free person like myself:

Pies and Pints... A+ btw, unquestionably top wings in Lex. Also, pork nachos are spectacular. My order: wings, pork nachos, chicken Gouda pizza, Greens Amber Ale, profit.

Grey Goose: A+ Very thin crunchy crust. Excellent pie

Gluten Free Miracles: A unquestionably the freshest and most real/organic gluten free crust in Lex.

(Deweys in cincy... A)

Saul Good: B +

Donatos: B

Dominos: C

PJ's worst pizza on the planet...like Wicks here in Lou. Goodfellas is really good also. Papa Murphy's if you don't mind cooking it yourself us really good..
I think Dominos is the worst. I had Papa Johns again last night and its good every time I get it. I've tried Dominos a hand full of times and for some reason I just don't like it.

C means Average, so Dominos getting that grade is the most false thing that's been posted in this thread so far.

Athens OH or GA?

Athens Georgia.

The area on the outskirts of Athens (Oconee/Watkinsville area) is blowing up fast and would be perfect for Deweys.

Love Pepe's in New Haven, CT. Always get when I am in the area.
Deweys is meh. 5 minutes from my house in Erlanger. Like Noce's in Edgewood better of the local pizza.

BoomBozz in Clarksville is pretty good. Matt B's in Murray is outstanding. Rebecca's Pepperoni Grill in Bardstown serves up some really good pizza.
Tell me more about this Boom Bozz, see this coming down to Franklin/Spring Hill location in Southern Nashville. Any comments would be appreciated. Noticed it will be up and running down here in 2 months. Crap, good Bar, decent pizza? What to expect?

The new Madtree Brewery also has Catch-a-Fire Pizza located there. It's not bad and uses a wood-fired oven.

Dewey's is solid for a chain btw. The biggest issue at the Newport store is that it stays very busy and they practically try to throw you out with near constant interruptions. Much rather be at peace with my beer at Goodfellas. Better pie also.

The pizza is very good in my opinion as is the shaved rib eye sandwich (that's all I have had). Others in my company got the calzones and they raved about them. The wings were reportedly good but not amazing. Lots of different options there including the pretzel sticks and hummus (not my taste but could be others).

I liked the hand tossed crust better than the thin crust. Old World and Pesto Roma pizzas are different and very, very tasty. They have a separate tap house from the restaurant but we did not eat in there or sample the beer.

Ate at Juliana's in Brooklyn last night (formerly Grimaldi's owners). Best pizza I've ever had and I have been to all of the top 10 pizza places in NYC (as of ~10 years ago). By the way if you're getting your carry-out/delivery pizza in a box, you're doing it wrong.

Cincinnati has horrible pizza options. I guess Dewey's is the best, but nothing special. Really disappointing.

If you don't have a pizza pouch/lanyard you're a pizza loser, which most of you (with a few exceptions) have already proven in this thread. :100points:

New Haven Pizza Shoppe. As good a pizza as I have ever had. Crust, sauce and toppings are all top notch.

Chicago Pizza and Sports Grill in Jacksonville had a ridiculous deep dish pie. We went when we were down for the bowl game because everything else was full and ended up going back a couple more times just because it was so good.

I haven't had a pizza in Lexington that I love to be honest. A lot of the same old crap.

Newport Pizzeria is better than Deweys.
YOU SHUT YOURE ***** MOUTH.

UPDATE: additional Kansas City locations and a foray into Michigan may have jumped Lou/Lex as next Dewey's locales per sources at my kid's birthday party last weekend.

Some bullsh*t but I'll keep fighting the good fight.

Are you referring to new haven KY? If so I have to agree that's a damn good pizza. Biggest hole in the wall place I've ever been in tho. I thought Bonnie & Clydes was a hole in the wall until I went there. Still think Bonnie & Clydes is the best.
