Because it's a Knox quote.

"He basically told me with them (Allen and Kennard) staying or leaving, I'm going to be the star regardless."
That's not promising a starting spot. Also heaven forbid K say I'm going to help you chase your dreams of being a star. I'm sure Roy's pitch of, I'll make you stay here 3 or 4 years and then help you reach the NBDL is way better. Of course I'll only do that after you helped me and Carolina enough.

I said K is a great coach and that Duke recruits well. I wasn't aware that in college stars are expected to come off the bench. How many lottery picks are coming off the bench for their college team? Marvin Williams did it a decade ago but in today's culture, where is it prevalent? Perhaps UK with their two platoon unit a few years ago but they went 10 deep and KAT was the real star of the team and definitely started.

If you can tell me that being sold as the "star" doesn't come with the expectation of starting, then so be it but I think most objective people would disagree.

"Duke has no less than two championships in large part to the path. It's just the facts. You can deny what you want. The NCAA prefers the "college athlete" BS and tbey are well aware most people only know Duke for academics. No one realizes Duke has as many thugs as any team, probably more."

As many "thugs"....wow.

Quotes like that aren't even worth a response. They're so moronic and laughable and it sums up so much of their fan older fan base. Steeped in jealousy, insecurity and paranoia since K took over nearly 40 years ago. So much venom and hostility.

Anybody see Jay Bilas's Twitter feed from today?? Holy cow, he acts almost pissed that people think the Tar Holes were shady or should have any issue with the NCAA as far as the scandal. That guy is freaking nuts.

I'm curious, who said that particular quote?

From hark_the_sound_2010 in regard to the espn layoffs

"Notice how they didn't fire Bilas or Jay-Will - just flaunting their bias at this point."

What an idiot! Lol! Everyone knows Williams and Bilas show nothing but love for the holes to the point where it's disgusting.

This probably isn't totally true, but....Love how this Hole is drilling academics and spells the word GRAMMAR wrong. Lol.

truetarheelraider0806:
"Sooo my son has improved his behavior greatly in school. We took him to Texas Roadhouse here in Jacksonville n.c. while there a group sat behind us. I was wearing my top of the world UNC hat with matching UNC shirt. An older gentleman with a KY hat and polo shirt laughs and says 2 banners are coming down I said no they won't he says.. and I kid you not..." You know who is heading up the investigation right. He hates UNC and will crush them." I smiled and said and then we murder them in court. He says your athletes aren't even taking classes. I said so you mean to tell me bledsoe actually took classes and that's the best Grammer the great University of KY could manage to teach him? The guy got mad slammed his fist on his table while his wife said he needed to calm down. My wife who was holding our newest tar heel member just laughed and said is he really throwing a temper tantrum in a restaurant. Grown man could have been my dad and I am no spring chicken throwing a temper tantrum because I said their players don't speak English very well."

On the Lebron+UNC team is a NBA playoff team, DaSheed says
"4-6 future NBA'ers on the 2017 Title team (arguably the potential for more)"
OK, so Jackson and Bradley are NBA talents. Who else is he counting, and he has to be including the D-league? Does the NBA have a league lower than that that he is counting?

Another stupid "selfish K" post....

"Currently the most polarizing topic surrounding the University of Kentucky Men's Basketball team is whether or not Calipari was "right" in allowing Diallo to join the team under the premise that he could possibly go to the NBA without never having played a regular season game wearing the Blue and White.

With that said, do you agree more with Calipari's decision to not play Diallo or Krzyzewski's decision to play Harry Giles during the 2016-17 season? I'm all for Team Calipari on this one and have included a link to DraftExpress' most recent draft projections to support my stance. Diallo has currently moved up to 31, while Giles is down to 27. While I want number 9 as much as any other member of the BBN, I'm glad we have a coach that refrained from committing the selfish act of playing a player who clearly wasn't ready to play at the collegiate level in hopes of winning at all costs. In short, in my mind Cal chose a teenager's future over the possibility of adding another W in the win column, while K sadly took the path more traveled when it comes to coaches in the NCAA."

Cal is just soooo caring!

From FlaTarheel.

The recruiting game is very "dirty" right now, and if Zion and his people are wallowing in dirt, RW wont win that battle. Not to mention alot of negative wind blowing against us.

But one thing you can be sure of, RW is still one of the best 2 or 3 recruiters in America.
I'm talking about guys with "clean" hands.

Lol!

They really do think they are special now since they won another one. I just hate that we gotta live with this, and my head might explode any minute.

"Wojo is more like Kay than the others.
He relentlessly attacks the refs, and is getting away with it."

gary-7:
"I went to the Marquette-UGA game this season hoping ot heckle that little f*** but we were behind the GA bench. He sure as hell runs his offense like K --- Bigs are an afterthought and they jacked up a barrage of 3s.

Chrissy Collins acts like the same DBag he was at dook, and from what I've read uses the same sketchy tactics in using/abusing players, and running guys off to replenish his roster."

Good old gary! Lol.

Gary, I mean FlaTarHeel, who is on top of it all about Duke, recruiting and just overall understanding of all things college hoops! Responding to Arch:
New

Nothing the LOM says would surprise me. Literally nothing. It had to gall him tremendously to watch UNC go to BTB title games and win the title this year.
Those on the outside have no idea how low this program is reaching to stay relevant.
No idea whatsoever.

Yeah, we are fighting hard to remain relevant. Let's see- two titles in the last seven seasons, just won the ACC, our recruiting has never been stronger and every single season, look up the top ten highest rated/most watched games and guess who's there? Duke. That's just for starters, but by all means please tell us how irrelevant we are becoming. By the way, if Duke is becoming irrelevant than I would be hard pressed to find who is relevant.

And we continue to whoop dat *** every single year. If anyone is trying, it's UNC, who needed that title to salvage any kind of respect for themselves who are getting abused in this rivalry recently.

Duval's last 2 schools have been very sketchy academically and the word was always that he was unrecruitable by UNC. dook is a very different story. dook is the new Georgetown.
That's what the national media refuses to acknowledge, that dook can and will get players in that we couldn't or wouldn't touch. Duval is the sort of kid who went JUCO and/or ended up playing in Vegas for Tarkanian back in the day.

guru gary-7. He's just a piece of work. With all the academic crap going on in chapel hill he has the arrogance or ignorance to post this. What a gift he has been to this thread. OFC

No, you are just mis-reading my (and everyone else's) post. FlaTarHeel said "people have no idea how low they are reaching to stay relevant". In other words, people have no idea how dirty they are playing to stay relevant. He's implying they are paying recruits or something, you are just mis-reading his intent. I asked him to clarify his implication.

I prefer clarity. If you want to say they paid Parker, Ingram, Tatum, Knox to come there then say it, rather than all the vagueness.

Well I'll be dadgummed. I thought we were just paying the refs. I'm not only senile but I'm naive. Now who of you are paying the players and not letting me know about it. Come on fellows I can keep a secret. thr knows we are paying players and I don't. Don't leave me out of the know. OFC

Point is that we have a vacant spot and, if knox does indeed not shock the world and goes to Dook, will like go unfilled. Why not take a guy who would only be on the roster for 1 year while we have a roster of unproven guys likely needing major minutes from day 1.
Possible Roy doesn't want to take away minutes from others who need to develop and will be with the team for 3-4 years.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. Already making excuses just in case Knox doesn't choose unc. It will be interesting to see what this same poster thinks if Knox does choose unc. OFC

"2010 is a little far back to be relevant to this argument dude! It would be silly to think that any team uses dirty tricks for EVERY player or 100% of the time so cherry picking a team is not valid to use your parlance. Dirty tricks are reserved usually for specific individuals and most of them have rumors circling around them for years. There is evidence of puke dirty tricks (Lance Thomas) and Capel's record, but I don't know for sure how far it goes just like you don't know for sure it isn't present! I don't know why every discussion has to either go to extremes or get personal, but I will respond to one thing you said:

I don't believe anybody on a message board is 100% who they say they are and I don't care; I do respond positively when peeps can say things that sound intelligent and jibe with my beliefs as well.

You have failed to reach either of these standards, while FTH and G-7 often do."
