Something else I was thinking earlier today. If Zion has come to UNC do you think there would even be a Zion cam? If Roy could stop it he would. And I know for sure he’d have shut the media up or pushed back on them giving one guy on his TEAM so much attention. Just different styles and programs. I prefer ours.

Okay, now they've overachieved, wasn't expecting much anyway, but just a week ago Duke wasn't going to get out of the Sweet 16, and UNC was headed to the FF. The winds shifted suddenly. Oh, and Duke is so lucky, damn I think UNC was lucky enough to play us without us ever having a full team, and the Auburn player (that was killing them got hurt), but they were so frickin' outplayed it didn't make any difference (in this game).

Bilas picked the Cheats over us in the Title game, he's looking real smart right now. If only Houston and Tennessee could've hung on in the final minute of their games I would've had a perfect Elite 8! Maybe I should get in to color commentary/ analysis.
I honestly thought they were the best team in America when you factor in Duke’s injuries and short bench. It’s amazing what happened when a fast team attacked them though....
If Zion went to UNC he would average 12 minutes per game and there wouldn’t be a need for a Zion cam.

I had a Hole fan at work this morning say he didn’t watch the Duke game, but saw the last play. He said Zion bumped Hill hard on the lob pass. Must be hard being blind and dumb.
I think Gary probably took a half bottle of Midol and went to bed after the game so he could dream about Dog.
I heard he drove over to the NCAA headquarters to dispute the final score. Something about blown assists by Auburn not being taken into account in regards to the box score and being the reason UNC lost so bad.

Really stupid, even for you. There isn't any "considering" when it comes to the tournament. You went where you went.
I think the realization needs to be over past 10 years is that freshmen talent doesn’t guarantee anything. Unc can brag they did more with less (and maybe they did this year, but they did have seniors) but less with more has been their MO since the dean era.
Both teams were one seeds. UNC was full of upperclassmen with tournament experience. I’d say their S16 exit is more disappointing.
Really? Roy has 3 natty's, 5 FF's, 9 ACC titles in 16 seasons.
I don't usually like being that UNC fan that comes on a Duke board to defend Roy but saying he's done "less" in any capacity is just factually incorrect.
I think in this argument, the media screwed you guys by hyping the team up to absolute death. SI covers, front page on ESPN.com nearly every day, Zion Cams, etc. etc.
I think both teams thought they could win a title so for a fan base it's even, but for public perception, I think most would say Duke was the bigger disappointment.

I agree about the latter point....Duke losing before the Final Four was more of a disappointment nationally than UNC. Duke, whether fair or not, was handed some invincibility by the national media. On the surface, anything short of Minneapolis, to a broad audience, carries with it disappointment.

And it is factually incorrect to say the same for k. The last 5 years k has had more talent than normal but The roster turnover isn’t easy to deal with.
And I actually think Roy has done more with less the past two seasons. But he has had plenty of seasons at unc that what he had on paper should have resulted in more.

But is turnover easier when they were only there for a year as opposed to guys who you've built a team around for 3-4 seasons? It's an interesting argument and no doubt both teams wanted more out of the last 2 seasons.

I would say that Luke May was the least talented but still most overachieving excellent player in the whole US and I mean that in a sincere way. He's a baller.
The real reason he didnt go to UNC was grades... worst kept secret ever coach actually had to sit him and his mom down in his office to deliver the bad news... Durant's mom was po'ed at Durant for not staying on his school work. Durant broke down and cried appn receiving the news this is the real story
